| santa did not die for my sins

Cyber's cfMMU peeps were selling really cool t-shirts last Thursday. One of them had the words "A Blatant Christmas" and a picture of cartoon Santa Claus, sitting down lifeless with a spear stabbed through him. At the back of it, is this post's title. Real cool t-shirt indeed.

This Christmas God has blessed me with things that I've missed out during Christmas a few years already. He gave me a beautiful and serene Christmas. More so, He gave me an abundance of delicious food to eat - all the good stuffs. Christmas eve dinner, I had awesome char siew fun in the shop that's just outside my taman. Good stuff though the price-to-quantity ratio isn't really good IMO.

love-the-fat-love-the-fat-love-the-fat-love-the-fat

Two days before Christmas and on the eve, I spend the entire day cleaning up the house - both indoor and the compound. So finally, on Christmas day, my family enjoyed a good day of eating Some Good Food®. For lunch we went to Bunga Raya to eat some good, old school mutton soup.

Family came back home, watched some t.v. and napped till dinner time. Dinner's the highlight of the evening - it's Christmas after all. Unfortunately, my family can't afford to buy turkey and stuff, so we headed down to our good ol' family friend's restaurant, Tai Pan Seafood Restaurant and ate to our hearts content. Ordered kangkung belacan, BBQ spare ribs, beancurd, oatmeal prawns, and sweet & sour crab. Real good stuff!

mm mmm~ yeaaa~

right now i pity you.. yes, YOU.. /pats head

that's a big crap crab

Okay, the last one was a lil' cheap. Anyway, to increase the festivities, the owner who's in his mid-thirties whom we call kor which means big bro, open up a bottle of wine for us, gave us free fruits and desserts. Yeap. He rocks alright. Almost every time we eat there for a celebration, be it Chinese New Year, Christmas, birthdays, etc, he'll always throw in good stuffs on the house.

dad says its rather fruity but honestly, it's just dry

some.. sort.. of.. dessert?

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is a good Christmas dinner as a family; five dishes - RM120. A bottle of Australian wine, fruits and desserts - on the house. Hope ya'll had a blessed Christmas too. Remember, it's not what you do, it's who you do it with.

Good nite peeps and once again, twas a Blessed Christmas.

| the end of cafe's

Twas a fine lovely day. The presence of the wind is revealed by the leafs on the trees, as in the likeness the image of faith. As such, I had faith that it would be a good day that's full of blessings and joy.

it's in my mind's eye

Malacca's Dataran Pahlawan aka DP. A fresh new sight to an aging town that's fill with nothing more than old stuff and old people. Our journey led us to DP's Hong Kong restaurant, neighbors of Starbucks DP. Pointed out that their smiles in the posters look reaaaaly fake. Seriously. That's a bad, half-hearted smile.

post-aCt cravings

Later that night after an evening of shopping here and there, we were cracking our skulls and pulling out our brains to decide where to have dinner. First choice was an 'authentic' Japanese restaurant nearby Wok & Pan called Yamato (p.s. speaking bad english doesn't make you japanese), second choice was Planet Cafe' which is nearby Friend's Cafe (recommended by Julain). We drove past Yamato, see see, look look, and drove to Planet Cafe'. Counted 5 seconds and decided to head to a familiar place instead, Friend's Cafe.

expensive maggie mee

It sucked. Economy and greed does sucky things to good cafe's. Friend's Cafe shrunk their menu - again, leaving us with nothing to order that's worth the price we were gonna pay. I was disappointed. We arose from our seats and headed to Biz Lounge instead, hoping that salvation for our hungry stomachs awaits us there.

mushroom and shark fin (insert chinese name)

First thing we noticed was that they changed their table positioning a lil bit. We then noticed that, it sucked too. Previously their menu was filled with awesome, tantalizing assortments and choices of food but now, like Friend's Cafe', they've reduced their uniqueness and chosen the path of, Chicken-Chop-Fish-&-Chips-we-suck-bad. Now that was a major disappointment to me especially. No more CG outings here.

Alas, we crashed and burned and moved our butts down to good ol' and faithful Amigo's Steak and Gill (that's what it says on their board at night). Ordered our food and chow down without any restraints and with full of sadness that good cafe's like Friends and Biz Lounge had become greedy sell-outs.

Following day, went to church and I realize that I had not notice the big cross that's hung on the wall above the stairs. It stopped me on my tracks, captivated me and beckons me to look at it.

Had lunch, got caught in the super-short-and-heavy rain, went home, and cleaned up the entire house. Fell sick, slept, woke up and went to Loi's Bak Kut Teh for dinner. As dad says, "Sick people should eat soupy stuff". Can't help but agree on that one. Beef in spicy soup.. mm mmm~

that's how ya eat it

So much for post-aCt cum Christmas spirit.
Body and emotions feeling rather weird now.
Good nite peeps~

| WARNING! post aCt - 37 pics

breakfast to kick off D-Day

Yes, it's finally here. The morning of 19th December, the real D-Day, the day where month's worth of practice shall show it's fruit and God's faithfulness shall be revealed. It's time to aCt.

got one?

*face melting-shreddahhh*

I could almost say the day flew by so fast, that I barely noticed the amount of work we did, from arranging chairs, to setting up banners, equipments, sound tests, and make up. Before you know it, it's already 1 hour to the start of the event.

chairs chairs and more chairs

can't you see the invisible cloak?

the small corner for musicians

you know how artistic works are made more famous..

..when the artist is dead?

From here on, I couldn't take any more pictures because my hands were tied up along with the rest of the musicians, playing the jazz and blues. But to sum up how well the pre-show was, after our beloved Esther sang the O Holy Night carol, the crowd gave a loud applause. I'd vote her voice any day. Right Eshter? *smiles*

Then the show starts...

DADDY - MOMMY - MIKE - JOHN - LUCY - *gunshot* - FAMILY

...and the show ends~

Crowd applause, shakes hands and greets, lalala, good nite!
Then, the fun part came - pictures.
Tons and tons of pictures. Sucking up entire bandwidth of nations that could've been used to house the sick and feed the hungry or even channel through a fund to research for the betterment of mankind. But alas, it was not to be anything more than for our measly pleasure of taking picture of self. heh~

But on the serious note. Beyond the fun and laughters, beyond fellowship and hardships, beyond all that we expect and hope for - this play, this presentation is for You my God and King. May You touch the hearts and lives of those who came and watched that they may know the true meaning of Christmas and call upon You as their savior.

And I sincerely pray from the bottom of my heart that you, my dear friend, would one day come to know the love of God; the love of Christ who died for you, just as He did for me and may you one day accept Him and your Lord and Savior. :)

miss ya~

Well, that's 37 pics for a post. A new record I think. I'm awesomely tired so I'm gonna crash now.
