Okay.. looks like I'll be dumping another huge pile of pictures here, more pics equals less words.. I hope. Anyway, here's the final part of my great experience in Singapore and may you guys not fall asleep while reading just like the last post. heh~ I'll make it as short and sweet as I can.

Sentosa drained lots of my energy but hey, I'm wontdieone. It's a beautiful morning in Singapore and we got up early to do some good ol' must-have morning hike up Bukit Timah. Believe it or not, I was actually some what excited about this trip. It's been awhile since I've took a long jog and get some proper exercise and back in my NS days, I really enjoyed those really, really, really long jogs that stretched tens of kilometers long. So yea, this kinda activity translates as fun for me. Weird huh?

After a very fruitful hike we went to some shopping complex who's name I've forgotten. Grab some lunch and found some cool stuff that Malaysia's shopping complexes don't have (to my knowledge at least). Stuff like instant pop-corn machines and Singapore's own S$2 shop (and it's all Japanese products!). Come to think of it, most of Singapore's stores are very Japanese'ish. Came home after shopping for a bunch of stuffs. I got myself a new shot glass from that S$2 shop. Felt very accomplished. ahaks~

Later that night we went to Wisma Atria (see picture below) to window shop some more. GerX got herself a new wallet while a choke at all the prices. *sigh* The great part comes during dinner. Got to munch on some very delicious Korean food. Especially like that Sado Sabo Saku.. that fish thingie that they sell. Good stuff. Wanted to try out their Teppanyaki cause it looks soooo mouth watering and cool to eat but alas, circumstances got in the way. Live to eat another day.

The next morning, a Monday morning to be precise would be our last day in Singapore. GerX has been eagerly wanting to go to the Singapore Science Centre and Singapore Discovery Centre since the beginning of the trip. Since her brothers are too lazy to wake up from their comfortable beds and accompany their sister, I knew I had to fulfill my duty as a gentleman and escort GerX on her little trip but alas..

They were all closed on Monday. GerX was pretty disappointed. Can't blame her though, it was quite the JENG! JENG! JENG! after all. Wasted a lot of money on the cabbie fares. I thought a trip to Singapore's Supreme Court Gallery would cheer her up (lawyers all dig these kinda stuff.. weird). We were greeted by a huge grand glass door that automagically opens! w00t! Jakun Mode : On! As expected, the security was very tight and I wasn't allowed to take any pictures. Too bad. Did managed to poke fun at all their judges. heh~

Then we decided to check out St Andrew's Cathedral - *ahem* MY cathedral. Being a saint has its perks I tell ya. ahaks~ Being tourist we also checked out the Esplanade Durian Dome Dheatre. Singaporeans really like their durians eh? Before rushing back, GerX and I decided it was high time to eat something that'll make this trip memorable - sushi. We hit the doorsteps of Sakae Sushi and no, it isn't pronounced as sa-kai. Notty peoples. *tsk tsk tsk* Though the picture has only 2 dishes, we actually ordered 3 but it was so yummy-licious, I forgotten to take pictures of it. hehe~

Later that evening, along with her younger bros we headed to the Lowyat of Singapore, Sim Lim Square. After checking out their prices and stuff I came to one and only one conclusion, Lowyat's much cheaper. Go get your gadgets and toys from there mann.

Soon night came and it was time to bid farewell to the wonderful city of Stinkapore Singapore. It's been a pleasure and all. Sentosa, Beach-Babes 1, 2 and 3, Bukit Timah, Korean Food, Sushi, Sim Lim Square, and those whom I forgot to mention. heh~ It was great and I had fun. Hope you guys had fun reading too. Nah~ I'm just kidding. Where was I ya? Oh yea, Gem Of Singapore. Some sort of building that doesn't have any gems nor anything valuable. Seriously. Nothing. Special. I have no idea why we're there. Unable to handle the boredom of being in a boring building, we walked to the next building which is some sort of shopping complex which is next to Vivo City, Singapore's proud shopping complex boasting to be the biggest in South East Asia. Hmmm.. Sure looks big. No pics though, was kinda tired by then.

Head back to Sentosa Island via cable car and to the next level of hell attraction; Sentosa 4D Magix. Basically they make you wear this really.. really really ugly looking plain lens glasses that will create the out of the screen experience. Think IMAX in Berjaya Times Square. The difference though, is that they have speakers in the seats and the environment effects. Sprinkling water, creepy stuff under you legs, that loud boom behind your ears, get my drift?

The bunch of them wanted to check out the Butterfly Farm but GerX doesn't want to due to her phobia to flying insects, lizards, etc, etc, etc. Me, being the *ahem* gentleman I am, accompanied her by the Skybar, with the help of some.. drinks. heh~ Next we headed for The Luge. It's some sort of go-kart, minus the engine and more g-force. Environment friendly, typical Stinkapore. By far, this is the only fun thing I rode in Sentosa. Don't be fooled by it's appearance, this thing can go faster than that lousy go-kart in Genting. Plus, you can go do-rif-tooo in it.

It's quite sad actually. After having a fun ride at The Luge, our next destination was.. a mini-museum about Singapore. *sigh~* They had some cool presentations and stuff but when the walking start, so does the boredom. I had to entertain myself right? Heh~ Having coming out of that rather boring Singapore-is-a-nice-and-wonderful-place we grabbed our lunch at Subway. Me, being the jakun I am was all Ooo and ahH at the food. I think it's as expensive as Burger King but the food is really, really good. Put on the meat baby!

By now I'm really tired and bored. To make matters worse, I was having this splitting headache that really annoyed me but I kept it to myself. Didn't want to spoil their fun. You know what? The Merlion is the saddest, lamest idea of a *koff* 'monster' I've ever heard off. The worse part is that it's not original. Unlike Loch Ness and Giant Squids where there are sightings and experiences, the Merlion, according to the dude on the screen was made up because the Singapore's previous symbol, the Lion, wasn't cool enough. So a half lion, half fish who's a vegetarian is cooler? Hmmm...

The headache was still throbbing in my head. Bad. GerX wanted to check out some attraction at Siloso Beach called the Flying Trapeze or something like that because it sounds nice in the brochure. It turns out to be.. lame. So we were just staring at the kids who were playing it. Thankfully, there were other attractions by the beach and they cured most of my headache. Heh~ Nothing like watching a bunch of chicks in bikinis playing in the sand. Kinda like Baywatch but they're all asians. Hey! I'm a normal guy alright?

Sorry for the late update peeps!! It's been another crazy week for me. Okay, remember me saying that I'll be back on the 31st of September? Well.. You see, I DID come back on the 31st but according to my dad, my house has been living in the shadow and darkness of no-broadband-connection. Yeap, I've been cut-off by Suxmyx once again. Someone gotta sue them I tell ya. I'm writing all my post on a notepad and I'm gonna post it at some CC of something. The distance I would go for a blog that no one reads. heh~ Oh yea, my photobucket's at its 1000 file limit. *sad*

As I mentioned in my previous post, I'll be off for holiday from the 26th to the 31st of September. The destination; Stinkapore. Ai Ai got a wiff of Stinkapore just before I did and thanks to her, I'd got to know a few places to visit while I'm there. So here's the first out of three parts of my one week travel holiday. Try to doze off and laugh at my poorly written post that's filled with sarcasm ya? Come on people, show me some lurve~

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go. I'm standing here outside the door. I hate to wake you up to say, good bye... Okay, maybe that song's really getting old, just like The Matrix and Tom Cruise. *koff* It's a beautiful Thursday morning. 26th of September, bus leaves at 11.30am. En route from Melaka to Seremban, heading through Alor Gajah. Come to think of it, almost all the bus I sit on either to KL or Seremban would pass by that small town of Alor Gajah. Must be getting popular that area is. Reached Seremban at around 1pm and spent a night there.

Fast-forward a couple of hours and here I am at Seremban's KTM station. Taking the night train (no, not the cocktail), I was chillin' on the sleeping section of the train. It's slightly more expensive than the normal seated section because, well, there's like a bed for you to sleep and stuff. Yea. Can't really remember when was the last time I sat on a train but hey, I'm a jakun to everything.

Touched down on Singapore soil at 6.30am. So much for sleep, but hey, I ain't complaining. I kinda accidentally caused a tinnie-little-small-bit of commotion after getting through the checkpoint. Well you see, it's morning and my brain was kinda hyper due to unnatural waking hours. So I went on, trigger-happy, taking pictures of everything I could lay my eyes on. Then an Immigration Officer walked over and told me I could get fined for taking pictures. So there I was, smiling like I'm high on crack or something unable to process anything the officer said. Then it hit me. "Soli ya? Me no speaking singlish. Me no more snap snap picture, okie?". I was free.

Forgot to mention this earlier. The peeps traveling with me were GerX, GerXmom, GerXbro1, and GerXbro2. Together the 5 of us took 2 taxis to GerX's uncle's house at Clementi. Much to my surprise (and enjoyment), Singapore's morning view was great. Nothing like visiting a place you haven't been in ages early in the morning to catch the city come to life.

The clustered flats of Clementi made me realize how tough it is living in Singapore. No space, no land, the rich get richer, the poor get poorer. No different from Malaysia eh? Clementi is like a mini-town. Bunch of flats with their stalls and shops that sells everything you need. It's like half of Melaka compacted into one part of Singapore. Great~

Singapore's chinese food sucks. End of story. It's too healthy for my Malaysian tongue. Less salt, less fat, no aginomoto, no happiness. heh~ After settling down and grabbing some breakfast, together with Un T, Aunty L, 13yearO, and 6yearO we headed to our first holiday destination, Sentosa Island. If my memory serves me right, one of the entry ticket packages cost S$60+. Big ouch. Riding the buses that circle the island we headed to our first attraction, Calsberg's Super Flying Spinning Sky Tower!

up, up and away!

The view from up the tower was quite nice, minus the haze. When you reach the highest point of the tower, it'll spin around at 100kmh for a couple of minutes as a recorded voice explains the surroundings. Though slightly difficult to catch while spinning at 100kmh, I noticed that Singapore's full of trees. It seems that they're trying to keep and plant as many trees as possible to cool the city. Much like KL but it's harder for KL to plant trees when councilors are building up bungalows without permit eh? *koff* In all, the experience was great but to my utter disappointment, there was no free flow of Calsberg beer while up there. Sad case.

Then we rode on the only cable car in Singapore, back to the mainland in some tourist attraction building called the Gem of Singapore. The ride there was normal larr. Nothing really special. Same as Genting but not as cool and cold.
