| back my blogging holiday

It's been nearly 10 days of nirvana on wontdieone.blogspot.com. By nirvana, I mean nothingness which, ironically, is what this blog is about in the first place; nothing. heh~

Gloria in the fullness of her.. glory

So yea, *koff* *spits phlegm*, prepare yourself for the usual after-holiday crap special as I bombard you various non-related picture and talk about 'oh-how-lovely-my-holiday-was-*butterflies*' ya da, ya da, etc, etc - you know, the usual fix.

my sepet (but kiut!!) niece

The Chinese New Year tradition of my family goes like this. Eve; reunion dinner, 1st day; father's side, 2nd day; mother's side, 3rd day and beyond are for friends and other people. In the previous years, to me, 3rd day and beyond meant going to random chinese houses and collect those much wanted ang paus from those poor, unsuspecting recently married couples. A great tip is to go in flocks of friends - like locust. heh~

a lil drink with a few good friends

mah jong - go figure

Reunion dinner was held at my father's side older sister, aka the eldest aunt. It's customary for us to bring our butts to her house and eats some real good hakka shit food! After eating my aunt's food, you know it's good when everyone around you keep pilling up on those bowls of rice. Gotta especially love that super-spicy soup, aunt's specialty - made with love and heat. Came home and had some good mah jong with the family.

i'll never get bored staring into the peace that is asahan

Went to my mom's hometown aka my kampung in Asahan which is very near to the famed and legendary Gunung Ledang. If there's any REAL good place to find peace and quiet to study or ponder, nothing beats my grandma's place. It was pleasant sight to see all my cousins and also uncles and aunties. Nothing beats saying 'pai seh, pai seh' when accepting those ang paus. hehe~

the evy-yer-muz-do-wann walk

if you noticed; the roads leads to an endless nowhere

Oh yea, we brought Gloria along too and she was an instant hit to all my cuzzies as we're all doggie lurvahs. It's a good thing that we brought her too. She was all excited seeing this very VERY open new environment where she can just run and run and run - fall, then run and run again. Of course, she did shit and pissed all around the compound but, hey! bro's there to clean up her mess. Isn't he such a nice guy? heh~

she took away my spotlight

remember her? the single cuzzie.. heh~

Came home at night feeling ever tired, exhausted and super satisfied. Once a year, I get to return to my sanctuary and let go of all my sadness, grief, hatred and anger - things that you don't (almost never) see from me. hahahaha~ The next few days I've been very unproductive. Haven't gone around to collect them ang paus. Sleeping very late and waking up even later. But I've spent a lot of time playing with Gloria who seems to be in the stage where puppies throw tantrums and bite a lot. hmmm~

mom only lets her in the house when its a hot day

wake up

eat

sleep

somebody say, YEE SAAAANG!

My family knows this real good sea food restaurant at the back of my taman. The owner who's the chef, is a rather close family friend has he often invites us over for a drink and makan. But after a few days of 'cant-come-busy-sorry' from our part, we decided it was time we pay them a little due visit. We ordered our usual food and was happily eating away when suddenly his wife came with four bowls of soup but this ain't any ordinary soup, this is the famed Monk Jumps Over The Wall soup. Boiled for 3 days to bring out the ultimate taste and boy does it taste good. In fact, it taste soooo good that I've completely forgotten to take pictures of it, thus it's only for me to enjoy, visually and taste-budly. heh~

The following days was...

Friday practice

Thong Sui House after practice

Saturday lunch

Just my opinion ya? It may differ with people but I felt that the ABC I paid at the Thong Sui House was over-charged at a crazy RM2.50. In fact, I don't like ABC and I have no clue as to why I ordered it in the first place. Crazy right?

when one wakes up too early..

I did it again. Yes, I did. Once I again, I woke up 7am and went to church at 7.40am thinking that Chinese Service at CCC starts at 8am. This is the second time I've done such a thing and boy it drains the life out of me. As if me having not enough sleep was bad enough. Luckily though, I had my bro and GerX to teman me throughout this.. "ordeal". heh~ We went to check out the chicks the nearby catholic church for awhile too.

check out them eyes - thanks bro

Though I was seriously exhausted to unexplainable limits, I had a great time worshiping God today. Once again, Louis did a great job leading the people in to presence of God. Another plus point is that the specially invited pastor, Ps Leroy who preached was able to deliver the sermon is a exciting and funny manner that caught all our attention. CHING! He made a great point about evangelism too that is true to the core. After practice our music boss, Jason Leong wanted to meet up and discuss stuff with us.

in godfather voice; "you do as i say.. ching?!"

After such a great Sunday service I feel all excited and energetic to face a week of study and mid-term!!

Yea right~

Oh well, it's good to be blogging again. I wonder if anybody missed my blog during the holiday. heh~ I assure you posting will continue in the usual routine.

Well, before I go, I present you the newest couple in MMUCF.

shooooo shiieee~

Nites peeps~

| church - orang asli - cantata

WARNING!!
SUPER LONG-n-HEAVY PICTURE POST: SUXMYX BEWARE!

It seems where ever I go, the fun will never end. It's like my life is full of energy sucking activities, one after another and though it's kinda tiring and all, I thoroughly enjoy it. It's the purpose and the pleasure of serving God that keeps me going on and on and on. Loads of coffee and getting sugar-high helps too though. heh~

its like a highway-storm simulation

It all began last Friday evening. It rained more heavily than usual and mom was rushing to fetch me to church music practice. It's a good practice not to be late for practice. Earlier that day I was supposed to help tutor my course-mates on Discrete Structure but alas, the sunny day made us loose our studying spirit. Need For Speed: Carbon and Maple Story dominated.

someone took this picture with my phone without my knowledge!

But it's okay, I look cool either way. ahaks~ Jo-l worship lead and it was truly a great time of worship. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be filled, pumping with energy to go all out for God once again. I guess I've already talked about it in my previous post but still, it's always good to talk about worship and God rather than gossip about who's cuter or handsomer *koff*, etc etc.

a must go, location : nearby calvary life assembly

Went to this really nice mamak stall. Well, they aren't exactly mamaks but hey, the word has become a trend. Anyway, their specialty is supposed to be burgers with apple slices inside. Yea~ Apple slices. Imagine the grease of burgers with the sweet/sourness of apples. Gross eh?

i cant believe i woke up at 7am!!

Woke up early the next morning. I'm not really a morning person and so the feat of me waking up so early clearly deserves a standing ovation. *APPLAUSE!* Ate the previous night's mini-sugar donuts for breakfast and washed up.

it drizzled as we walked to yac

thankfully ju-ju picked GerX and i up

What's suckier than feeling stoned in the morning? Forced to walk to YAC as it drizzled WHILE feeling stoned. Thankfully, Ju-Ju picked us up along the way and I manage to get some coffee before leaving for the mission trip.

drivers: eddy marky timmie

After slightly more than 30 minutes drive and with the directions of Ps Joseph, we finally reached the Christian centre in Kampung Jus. After exchanging introductions, we had a short worship session and then we prayed for the mission trip that the work of God be done according to His will. While fellowshipping, we were roughly briefed about the situation in that kampung and what's the work that's being done there too. More pics:

there's takamine acoustic, b.c. rich axe but no drums

self-explanatory

drinking milo and eating biscuits

louis playing the takamine. cool factor: 6/10

john playing the takamine, left-handed. cool factor: 9/10

yes, this is timmie's driving

timmie is a tribe fan? ewww~

After another long drive, pass my kampung in Asahan, at the intersection between the kampung and the waterfall, we touched down and parked the vehicles as it's impossible for the two Iswaras to climb up the hill to the taman and pastor strictly said, "Don't use my car to climb up the hill!". Oh well, they brought a Land Rover. Suweeet~

riding the land rover

up the foot hill of Gunung Ledang

It's definitely every big boy's dream; to own a 4x4 and go nuts. Going up the hill in a Land Rover always give me the kicks. If there's one small, minor thing I like about mission trips to orang asli settlements are the 4x4s. heh~ I felt very at home up there. The whole place smells like home alright. The only difference is that there are no kids running around half-naked in their shorts.

tim and ed doing some inventory checking

visiting the village people leaderman

leaderman who's ancestors came from china (speaks good hokkien)

While the girls and a few others waste little time and helped with the cooking, the rest of us including myself went to visit the village chieftain to pay our respects and to say, "Yo, sup' dude?". Kidding. The headman's a really cool dude with lots of stories to tell. He's the fourth generation of leaderman family-line. His ancestors came from China and he's actually under Hang Jebat's bloodline. Now THAT'S cool. Oh yea, he has 50 grandkids. World!

KIDS!!

Later as the older peeps do their bible study with Ps Joseph. We handled the kids, singing songs, telling stories, playing games, etc. Mark led the songs. The kids were initially quite shy but they opened up a little later. Elaine told them the story of how Jesus fed the 5000 with 5 loafs of bread and 2 nemos. Q&A with correct answers were given fabulous prizes. I lead the games with the Tree, Squirrel, and Andrew Liu Earthquake. After having lunch and cleaning up the hall me messed up, we headed back to Jus Chapel where they treated us with Bubur Kacang. Touched down in Melaka around 5pm feeling super tired.. but my day doesn't end there.

lucius! i cant see joooo!

ol' faithful

Later at 7.30pm we had a practice for the Cantata but this time, the musicians and the singers practiced together as a whole. Overall, on the music side, I felt that we kinda slacked a bit. We did much better the last time but I guess everyone was tired last night. The choir ran out of tune in a few SATB songs. hehe~ Super funny. Ended practice with a good blast with the finale song, Sing Noel.

i didn't set up the christmas tree this year..

ZX was kind enough to send home after eating dinner/supper. When I reached home, I was greeted by a beautifully lit Christmas tree and it made me realize that I miss setting up the Christmas tree again this year. Gotta wake up early for chinese service tomorrow. Oh well, good nite peeps~

| a thousand words

Yanoe, I have no intention of talking about my past but sometimes I feel that people aren't really ready to know about it. Sorry, I meant I feel that people are NEVER ready to know about my past. And I meant it in a non-emo, jokingly notty way. heh~

was initially got write about fried chicken.. really~

Seriously~ As I was looking through my picture collection (132 folders, 7054 handphone pictures), it struck me that I could get jailed for displaying some of the images. ahaks~ But they're all funny pictures nonetheless. One of the mild-traumatizing ones were the cat-in-the-tyre pictures that some of my CG members have seen before. I have never shown anyone the pig's head- Wait, did I just say pig's head? I meant uh..uh..uh.. *sigh* nevermind, forget what I said. heh~

friends and forgiveness are tied together

But personally, I'll never grow tired of going through them. Aside from some of the *koff* grotesque pictures, others are filled with family, friends, friends, and more viewful events. I dunno about you guys out there and your memories with your friends, like yours, mine is filled with wonderful pictures of my life. You know how all of us have pictures of us posing along with our friends at various locations in various positions and each has a story behind it. If you're smiling after reading that, then you'll know how I feel.

sweet ride

Ahhh~ It's late at night and I'm getting all sentimental. Well, I am a very sentimental guy after all, or at least I feel that I am. A picture is made out of thousands of words. And if put to individual preferences, it would be made out of millions, billions, gajillions of words. My favourite group pic by far is our trip to Gunung Ledang together as KonnManns. I still smile every time I look at those pictures. heh~ Can't wait for our next holiday.

| family? yea, they're my family

Meet Elina Goh. Simple in looks, laughs like a pig, a passion for God, and a heart of gold. She's special for two reasons. One; her birthday falls on the first day of Chinese New Year. How cool is that?! So instead of buying her presents and all, just hand her a nice simple red packet. Kill two birds with a guli. The second reason? Well, because she's my sis and that makes her ever more special. ahaks~

Elina Goh, you ARE the best

I've always looked up to her, ever since I knew her back in MHS. She was in form 6 and she carries a testimony that moved me back then and even now. She was a new Christian back then and at the same time a first generation Christian, she was persecuted by her family but yet she endured it all and held God up high. To her He's her only hope indeed. For that, *salute* respect! ahaks~ I miss those times we hang out together with my dad and bro. Miss those times her two friends, Elaine and Syiok Sial (not real name) accompanied us on those lonely nights. *sigh* Good ol' times. You're the best Elina!

see.. fits well doesn't it?

Heard of the Konn Manns? No? Well you better, because they're gonna get you and you wouldn't even know what hit ya.

i think, therefore im single

Nearing the end of CNY, my ex-high school mates went on a trip together to Sagil Waterfall. It was quite a tedious event as we planned and try to keep the figures as small as possible but, like all other youths, we're experts at spending. ahaks~ So where IS Sagil? Heard of the *ahem* famous Gunung Ledang (Mount Ledang)? It's the mountain where the legendary warrior of Malacca, Hang Tuah and the Princess of Mount Ledang got down and dirty disappeared without a trace. Still blurr? Go buy a pirated DVD of Puteri Gunung Ledang larr and save yourself some trouble kay?

my bro and i... it hard..

So the 9 of us (8 Konn Manns and bro) went on a road trip all the way there. I've always like travelling with them in the Turbo Van aka Blink 182 Van. I dunno, I guess there's just something about a bunch of guys sitting in a van talking nonsense all day long. Anyway, Sagil Waterfall is a really cool place indeed. It has many waterfalls, small ones at the bottom, rough ones at the top - we went to the top. It's easy for me to say "we went to the top", but the truth is it's one really long and tiring hike all the way to the highest point but we, the JackAssCrew will not be easy defeated.

naruto wannabe

After a long and weary trudge up the very steep path, we eventually reach the end of the road. The reward? A very satisfying time to slipping and falling unto hard rocks and swimming in a pool of water that has plenty of fishes. In case you're wondering, yea, we did try to catch those fishes but end up looking like a bunch of idiots. ahaks~ Had a really great time there. These are just one of those memories that will be kept in the archive of the Konn Manns. Hehe~
