Mark My Best Friend (join the club now)

In the past one month, I've been interacting more with people than ever before.. Yay!! In fact, ever since I applied membership to the two most super-exclusive cult club, Deric My Best Friend and Mark My Best Friend, life has been ever exciting! Apa kata Mawi? World!

granddaughter - she'll take care of me till im senile!!

My granddaughter, [girl in pic], has been very supportive to me. Me lurva her alottah. Very useful and kind, unlike the ones out there in the market. Belongs in kitchen with apron. Makes good coffee and knows how to serve with respect. Doesn't accept cash. First time she belanja me was a couple of days back. Retails for USD$39.95 - Get yours now!

[out of stock]

Just kidding about me granddaughter. She retails for USD$14.50 is not for sale - sorry. Me feels a painful pinch coming soon. hahaha~ Okay, I'm talking nuts here. Ignore for three.. two.. one.. ignore complete. Me like deb a lot. Won't sell her for any price.. *ahem*

me lurvah mah CG!!

Despite the usual low attendance, last week, Catalyst CG reached a record-breaking attendance of 8 people! EIGHT! You know, DVD8! Whoohooo~ Guest star appearance includes the lovely Hui Yin and the cute Shin Dee. Our priority is to celebrate Kay Lyn's belated birthday, so we got a slice of Choc Cheese cake from Secret R, and had dinner in Kenny Rogers - first time I've EVER paid for a meal in Kenny Rogers. gosh~ Went to play some pool later. It fun night.

singing in the raiiiin~

Friday rains hinder me from going out in the afternoon. Missed my morning class too due to a medical condition called Sleeperus Calltous - deadly I tell ya, deadly. It's another one of those blessing-in-disguise I guess. Got to spend a good time with Gloria. She's growing fast, though I wish the conditions for her upbringing would be in a better location, no malays, big fields, etc.

super sepet unlimitology - gotta catch'em all

Practice was.. well, it could've been much better. I guess it serves to show two important points. One, we should stick to what we do best and improve in it. Two, if all the greatest musicians (guitarist, bassist, drummer, pianist, etc) would get together and just play, their music would not be great - sensitivity, simplicity, understanding give-and-take are much more important than raw skills. We're not a rock band, we're a Worship Team. Know the difference.

new building's(?) arrangements.. okay...

char siew faaaaaaaan~ yatta!

Been very busy of late too. Hardly had time to come home at night. Parents are a understanding bunch - me lurvah them alottah. Dad has been especially supportive of the idea of me getting a new guitar. He knows me been buying my own gear and he's gonna sponsor me cash to buy my future(?) new wife!! YATTAAA~

you know ur dad's cool when he wears better clothes than you

Thinking of how to work out The Pledge (coming to you this Tuesday). Together with Jou Chean, in her room, doing stuff.. *koff* and more importantly, working on the theme song to make it sound better. Done with the recording and hopefully, it's the final cut. The ideas sounds cool. Hopefully it'll materialize into something cooler. Get ready for this Christmas; a Christmas thingie: the invisible cloak. God's wings and His hands holds all - His covering is perfect.

ana-channnnnnnnnnnnn!! me wanna keep her~

hmmmmm.... 0.o!

Shin Dee is a very special girl. No, not the ones that you find in mental institutions nor the one I see in the mirror everyday. She's my niece you see. How did that connection happened? I'm not entirely sure, but all I know is that she calls me uncle, which, in at certain point is not good. *sigh* Sandra calls me uncle too.

shin dee - animal lurvahhh~

This girl here, gave me a White Birthday. Wikipedia has nothing on it because it's something she made up herself. World! What's more special about her, is that she gave me something I've never had before. Despite me being me, extrovert, loud, unassumingly annoying, occasionally funny, having many(subjective) friends, I've never really celebrated a birthday before, well, not like what she did for me. So yea, that makes her special.

thanks Shin Dee - ur spesel!

Thanks to all those who came and were involve in it too. Rest assured i'll get all of you soon, I had fun. Thanks Shin D, Kay L, Ana-C, Becca L, Sully V, Eli Beng, and Jingles. You are all a great blessing to me.

Nites peeps~

| just a quick one - tired

a joke for musicians

Dear Thelma,
I think my wife is cheating on me. I'm a working musician and travel a lot, and recently strange things have been happening when I get home. Her mobile phone rings and she steps outside to answer it or she says, I'll call you back later. Sometimes she goes out with friends but comes home late, getting dropped off around the corner. I once picked up the extension while she was on the phone and she got very angry.

A friend of mine plays the guitar in a band. He told me that my wife and some guy have been to his gigs. He wanted to borrow my guitar amp. That's when I got the idea to find out for myself what was really happening. I said that he could use my amp but I want to hide behind it at the gig and see if she comes into the venue and who she comes in with. He agreed.

Saturday night came and I slipped behind my half-stack to get a good view. I could feel the heat from the back of the amp. Crouching down behind my Marshall, I noticed one of the power stage valves wasn't glowing as brightly as the others. Is this something I can fix myself, or do I need to take it to a technician?

Very concerned,
Malacca

| issues of marriage and wife: part II

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAY LYN!!

Ah yes.. after a long lecture, here's the second and final part of it. Get ready.

*takes pen out*

*gets ready to write*

gooooooo-doggy~

Relationships isn't like a level 9 Here and Now perk from Fallout 2 (though many a times we wish it is). In fact, it takes time to build on it. In the words of a famous person I once met in the mirror;

Here and Now

"Relationship is a journey of discovery; discovering who your partner is, and most importantly discovering who you are in the eyes of your partner and God".

Deep.. He must be one really smart guy.

Anyway, I found this little treasure while cleaning up the house yesterday.

Ooooo.. lookie there.. who's THAT?

Ahhhh... good ol' days.

Today's CF was a special meeting with hidden objectives of propaganda'ish purposes to brainwash them unsuspecting CF'ers. In views of a humble vaudevillian veteran, who is a victim, moved by the vicissitudes of fate. To hear the vox populi that vivifies verily left me in vanity's vast verbiage. But I've been most verbose, you may call me Vandrew. Dig it.

I guess through what I've been through things are just gonna get more challenging for me. If there's one thing that is most important in a relationship, in marriage, is understanding. My numero uno rule in any argument or issue; there is always two sides on a coin - check the flip side. Good luck in all your relationships, married or otherwise, and may you know how to separate fact from falsehood, truth from fiction and needs from wants. heh~

| issues of marriage and wife

Hold on to your seats peeps. This is gonna be a looong, naggy and draggy one.

relationships are like air tickets
if one takes off, you can always wait for the next

Relationships should never be rushed into nor should it be given little thoughts on questions such as compatibility, purpose, needs, directions and of course, the will of God. Age and time should be taken into consideration as well.

chicks who digg mutton knows how to live life

One can associate relationships to food. By ordering different types of meals, separated from the normal convenience of the menu whereas still bounded by the limitations of choices and barriers of language, seamlessly acknowledged to be known and understood but lacking, one concludes that this whole paragraph does not make any sense at all. Hence. One can't associate relationships to food. heh~

cheese cakes should saved for after marriage

When getting into a relationship, marriage should always come into mind. For what reasons or motive is there to start a relationship with no directions? If you aren't gonna last for marriage, why start? Such crude questions that people so often avoid are in fact, the most important of them all.

Personally, for me, I confess, I'm struggling now. As I've said; relationships are a tricky business and I'm barely holding on to anything right now, afraid to start anew, afraid of what my family would think. Whether can I afford it right now? Or thinking whether she's the right one for me. So I hope that you all will be praying for me that God will provide me with all the necessary things I need for this (future?) relationship to work out. Thanks.. so I want you all to meet...

| sickly duties

I have not been feeling too well since Tuesday night. I was gonna type out some corny line involving Jou Chean but I guess I'll spare her.. this time. Thanks to those who showed concern and even more thanks to those who prayed for me - prayer roxxors. Despite the cough and phlegm, I'm feeling better now. Thanks again.

thursday's ladies night out

Though it was raining and though I was still sick and the temptation to just call one of my CG members and ask them to take charge while I rest was great, I felt the need to do my duty as a CG Leader - I can't let my beloved CG members down. We went to a new place I discovered called Biz Lounge and Thursdays is ladies night aka all drinks cost RM1 (applicable to male wearing mini-skirts).

some sorta mint milkshake (brings all the boys to the yard)

The price is slightly just a little bit expensive for cafe' style food but almost everything about this place shouts an ambiance of coolness. Go to the top floor and enjoy chilling on couches. Unfortunately, when we went there, all the couches were already reserved. Yeap, reserved! My dear sister did warn me about that before. Guess she's right. heh~

zx complains that i don't belanja him enough

Nonetheless it was easier to eat our food while sitting on rather comfortable chairs than on the couches so I guess it was a blessing in disguise. We ordered our foods and drinks and dug into the word of God; James to be precise. To sum it up, 'Genuine faith produces good works/deeds'. So if ya all have a true faith, ya should be doing good works. Simple, sweet and of course nice~

it hard taking pictures under dim lights (lamb chop)

but it nice when potatoes has garlic sauce on top (citrus chicken)

Another thing I find funny in a Biz Lounge. I needed to go to the loo for some small business and as I was.. uh, undergoing the business, I felt rather uneasy, as if there's someone watching me on the right. I tilt my head slightly to have a glimpse and I saw another person's feet right next to me! Freak!

seriously.. who puts huge mirrors in toilets?

It's as if people would wanna know how they look like when they're constipating. High chances of looking like Leonidas (see .gif pic above). But I mean, seriously, come on mann. I tried sitting on the toilet as if I was doing some big business and felt giler uneasy knowing I can see myself on the left. Even the most vain dude/dudette would feel it I tell ya.

All in all, it was a fun spending quality time with my CG members, reading and learning from the bible. Heh, it's ALWAYS fun.

the bill amounts to RM130++
