Bubble Tea Matters

Woah~ This week has been like a full-fledged lecture filled week mann. Thank God tomorrow is Thursday and the day after that is Friday (like duh?!). Only 2 hours of lecture at 4pm. Sweeeet~! And on friday, I only have 3 hours of lectures from 8am to 11am~ Double Sweeeet~!

Loads of action in the CLC's ground floor today. Lots of people walking around promoting their stuffs. And to think that I didn't know there was a December intake. tsk tsk.. So blurr mann~

Anyway, there's this Bubble Tea shoppe that SP and I visit frequently as they go to various pasar malam and we had gotten to know the guy and gal running the shoppe pretty well. Since the CLC was going through minor renovations, the poor dudes were forced to use their own power supply aka generator. Juz as they were running their usual business, the worst of things happened, they ran out of gas. So say goodbye to those waffles and ice blended drinks. The best part was it happened as I wanted to place my order. With a sigh I told them I'll come back after my next lecture and so I went off for my lab. After class, I went to look for them again but their generator was still down. The guy looked at me for a second or two then told me hold on. He tried turning on his generator again and this time it lasted long enough for the gal to make my Ice Blended Apple with Coconut Sweetenings! Now that's how you treat a regular customer and a friend. Talk about being faithful. Ahaks~

coofffeeeee....

NOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo!!!

Crappers~ *sigh* So, it's another day crammed with action-packed, fun-filled lectures by MMU's finest! For a limited time only, sign up for MMU's SAY-GOOD-BYE-TO-YOUR-MONEY scheme and enjoy special privileges and grab great offers today!! (for a limited time only)

Okay~ That was juz crap talk. Sorry~

humility

If there's one thing that man should fear, it is the wrath of God. While watching the news about the recent quakes that shocked the nations, my mom made an interesting comment, "Even people don't fear terrorist attacks like they fear these natural disasters." Why? Because these disasters are uncontrollable by man and man fear powers that they can't control nor predict. Watching those waves slam the shores, towering the palm trees and sweeps away helpless children. In a way, it's pretty fascinating but it really humbles our pride. Of all men's accomplishments, yet none can stop the might of those waves. We are nothing. For all the sin that consumed the world, we as Christians should get our hearts right before God. I believe none of us would wanna see God cry again (not that He would anyway). Oh God of all creation, we stand in awe of Your works. Cleanse our hearts and wash our sins away.

exCITSing

Getting free internet is one thing, but getting sick and tired of it is juz too weird. I mean like, what do you do when you're a tired guy who has 2 hours of nothing-to-do and your stuck in your uni waiting for your next class? You go to the nearest lab and take advantage of their absolutely free internet connection. But after using it over and over and over agian, boredom sinks in. Suddenly the world around you starts spinning as your hear an insidious laughter mocking your futile attempts to regain control of the lagging computer.

ERROR 404!!
ERROR 404!!

For crying out loud!! What is error 404?!! *pauses* Ohh.. It's that. Cehh~ No worries. A little kick to the CPU and some keyboard mashing should do the trick.

away from the sun

I had a bad impression on how this semester was gonna be. After all, I have 5 subjects, 2 that holds the utmost importance of them all and I only have 3 months to study and one chance to score while avoiding failure. I think I've gotten use to it but then every semester is different.

I sat in the car, following dad around as he's trying to sort out his income tax crap. My action plan for this sem screen through my mind as I analyze it and try to pick out the flaws that I come across. At first it was smooth but like the computer memory, it started to get clogged up. Amazing how the brain sometimes works faster than your CPU eh?

At the brink of overloading, I opened my eyes and there it was, the setting sun across the horizon. The vibrant fire-orange surrounding bright white core. Warmth filled my heart as my burdens were lifted away. I looked at the sun again and I saw a smile - a familiar smile that I welcome everyday. This should be an interesting semester. Love out~

unloved? no way

Juz recently, I read a post from another blog. There this Christian girl who let her heart out and spilled it all over her blog. Her words were filled with hurt and despair and hope seemed a mile away for her. I'm a guy who can imagine or picture things very well. For me to read her blog sank me into her emotions; her tears streaming down her cheeks, red swallon eyes and heart crying out for someone to hear. But when she said, ".. it's difficult being the unloved one", the music suddenly stopped. Wait-a-minit! No one's unloved!! In the Christian circle of thousands, no one is ever left out of love!! How could she miss the most simple part of a Christian life?! It's impossible I tell ya~ The spirit of God prompted me to give her a comment and I prayed that it would pierce her broken heart and open it up to God. After all, God loves broken vessel - it's the only vessel that He can fix it with love.

Kinda reminded me of those days when I'm down, which is like, almost everyday. Ahaks~ But me being me, God's love always prevails in the end. His light beats the sun and His works out do Gandalf a gazziliontrillionmillionsomething times! But I can relate to her heart. Being broken soo many times, I bet many people can relate too. It's the same song with a different chorus. The style is the same, but the storyline is different. Hehe~ But one thing remains the same, is the same love that made the world and redeemed it.

So much for that, I gotta go. Have another class in like 20 minutes time. God bless.

dream sequence

Not wanting to lose the precious last moments of the Christmas spirit, I slept at 3am last night. Spend the night chatting with various Gateway Youths, sending them pictures of their play and also the cute little Serene from Ipoh. Aside from that, I was busy downloading and printing my notes for today's lectures. In the midst of chatting and stuff, I had a dream sequence. It something like a half-life kinda thing. You're awake in a sub-concious level and everything around seems so unreal. Yea, I had that. Pretty freaky too. After putting much thought into it, here I am trying to figure out the words to say. Either that or I'm enjoying the feel of this new keyboard in the CITS Lab. Gosh~ There's something about me and new keyboards mann. This should be an interesting new relationship. Ahaks~

So what more could I say? I'm juz a guy who's trying to pass the time since my next lecture is an hour away. Weird as it looks or strange as it seems, there's nothing more confusing. My eyes are half-open and my brain, already dead. Or maybe I left them on my bed. Too lazy to move, too tired to think. I think I'll juz sit on the chair and sink. Trying to get your attention and at the same time bug you with irritation. It's working isn't it? So I guess I'll now juz end it. Sorry for wasting your time reading. But thanx for taking the trouble looking.

all things new

You spoke and made the sun rise
To light up the very first day
You breathed across the water
And started the very first wave
It was You
You introduced Your glory
To every living creature on earth
And they started singing
The first song to ever be heard
They sang to You

You make all things new
You make all things new

Then the world was broken
Fallen and battered and scarred
You took the hopeless
The life wasted, ruined and marred
And made it new

You make all things new
You make all things new
You redeem and You transform
You renew and You restore
You make all things new
You make all things new
And forever we will watch and worship You

You turn winter into spring
You take every living thing
And You breathe the breath of life into it
Over and over again
You made the sunrise
Day after day after day
But there's a morning coming
When old things will all pass away
And everyone will see

You make all things new
You make all things new
You redeem and You transform
You renew and You restore
You make all things new
You make all things new
And forever we will watch and worship You

Now and forever You are making all things new
You're making all things new
Hallelujah...

the gay king?

Okay~ So I didn't actually sleep the whole day~ On Christmas night, my church had a little play, skit or whatever you wanna call it. Honestly, I thought it could've been better. This year it was a little bit of the norm. Made me think back of the old days when I was much younger. We would parade around the city of Malacca with 5 or 6 other churches singing praises to the Lord and eventually will meet at Dewan Hang Tuah for the final showdown. Imagine, 5 churches come and work together to make a huge awesome play as the great voices of the choir thundered across the hall. Coooool~ But alas, those days are over. For 7 years we did that. We broke the walls of Jericho and it was time to move on.

*the gay king was having an affair with mary... weird*

This year's Christmas, we had a simple play about the birth of Jesus. Anna Na played Mary while my bro played one of the 3 kings. After the play was over, I went up to the 1st floor and discovered something shocking, Mary was having an affair with the king!! *gasp!!!* Actually, I caught my bro helping Ann Na put her headpiece back on. For a moment that thought cross my mind and I shouted it out. Hahaha~ Was funny at that moment but now after saying it here, it's kinda lame... Okay, I shall not go any further..

so how was UR christmas?

For all the years celebrating Christmas, I have a different perception of this special day each year. It seems every year is different. Yea, so we have the usual plays, choir, and skits each year. But what I meant by different is what happens in that week of Christmas.

*laksa rawks the house!*

Somehow this year, the Liu family is taking it easy. From the morning till night it was slow and steady. On the eve Christmas, we went to a food court near Orchard Square. Wanted to get some Law Mee but I settled on the ever faithful Laksa Mee. Okay~ So having really spicy food like laksa for brunch has never been a good idea. I had to crap a couple of hours after that but hey, it was worth it mann~ Hahaha~

*cook ur own meal dude*

That night there was a little twist. We invited SP along for our Christmas eve dinner. She was nervous as ever! For some reason, she hasn't got use to seeing my mom around. Dad had already booked a table for 5 at The Carry On restaurant. It's the best steamboat restaurant in town and so getting a table there was pretty tough but hey, my dad knows everyone right? Ahaks~ Traffic was a killer and my patience wore really thin. I muz have cut through many cars roughly. I reached her house at 7.50pm and I have to reach Carry On by 8pm. Great... In the end, we reached there in time and had a great dinner. After dinner SP and I went to Portuguese Settlement for the Christmas countdown. Lots of people were there and parking was another killer. At least we managed to catch a great view of some lousy/cheap fireworks display.

*supercool sandwiches*

On Christmas morning, dad made some delicious sandwiches. It comes in 2 separate flavors too. Real good stuff I tell ya. We spent the rest of the day sleeping. Yeap~ Sleeping! Doing nothing at all~ Great huh?

do you kung fu?

It was a fine morning; the air was cool and the breeze was evermore refreshing. Sun was up and the sky was clear. Birds chirping, kids playing dogs running around. Not wanting it to go to waste I told dad,

"Hey~ Lets watch a movie"
"When?"
"Tonight laa"
"What show"

I pause for a moment in deep thought and then replied,

"Kung Fu"

His eyes opened wide, "You sure want to watch that show arr?"

"Yes" I said determined. And sure enough that night the family went to GSC to watch the show, Kung Fu a Stephen Chow show. The twist to it was this time SP followed and boy was she shy than ever. I have no clue why she's so afraid of my mom. My mom treated her very nicely and politely but she still gets the jitters. Strange? I have no idea. So after helping dad to close the restaurant, we went up to GSC where mom and bro were waiting for us. We went in the cinema expecting to have a great time watching a Stephen Chow's movie.

The show was sooooooooo funny!! The packed cinema were laughing and laughing and I myself was laughing my butts out at the jokes and puns. Stephen Chow, known for his trademark jokes and antics, made the best movie of his career. How would I know? Because my mom laughed her heart out, and when mom laughs at a joke, it means the joke is REALLY good. Kung Fu gets a 10/10 points from the Liu family. Go watch it peeps!

fade to grey

In the midst of darkness, it's easy to fall.
And when we become tired and weary everything seems to crumble to the floor.
Where do we go? What do we do?
Cause for all we know, everyone doesn't have a clue.
These are times when black and white fade to grey.
Everyone's confuse, and the world in dismay.
We reach out and fall back. We call out but echoes reflect.
"Are we in the right direction? Or is this some sort of illusion?".
Have to keep running. Running from everything.
Everything and everyone. Running towards the Son, my only One.
And now with Him in my heart, I'm open to His touch.
And I'm changed from my past in this love that will forever last.
A touch from Grace and now I can see His face.
My hands reach out the light. The light that shines away my plight.
This one thing all must hear, salvation is here.

woa~ it's almost like the first day of school!!

Right... How I wish it were. Walking up to the same ol' building, walking up the same ol' steps, walking into the same ol' lecture halls. I wonder when I'll shake of that feeling. You know you have a problem if life becomes stereotype in your mind. I recall the time when I first step into the halls of my first kindergarden, what a torture it was - to the teacher of course. *Ahaks~* Made her life a living hell.. Well, actually when I was young, I was one of those goody-two-shoes who would talk sweet things to the teacher and be the same person who puts tum-tax on her chair. Evil... She never found out though I have a feeling she suspects its me. Poor teacher.

So much for first day of lecture after the hols. A looooong and sloooooow day. Need frequent refils of NFSU2. My new Mazda RX8 roars like thunder over oceans, declaring its awesome power and its mighty engine. Speeding across the streets and freeways like the wind through the trees in a thick, dense forest of cars and trucks.

Thank God it's juz a game mann...

good bye.. my precious...

Okay~ Lets recap what went on in this 3 weeks of holiday. First week was resting/working week. Since it was right after my exams, I really needed to recuperate but at the same time I had to prepare for my Youth Camp as I'm in charge of games. The second week was fun, which is good. Hahaha... Was focusing on trying to reach out to God and at the same time let the youths experience worshipping God in a different level while having fun time too, or at least that's what I was trying to achieve. The youths gave a positive response at the end of the camp so I guess it was worth the effort. I bet they'll never look at tofu the same way again *winks*.

After camp, I was busy "resting" from the camp. It's funny how humans need a holiday FROM the holiday. Weird bunch of freaks.. *humph!* While resting, my eyes, full of anticipation, were set on the main event - the Genting/KL trip. On Sunday right after church, SP, her friends and I went on a journey filled with excitement. Well.. Not really exciting but I guess it'll have to do. After the trip, GY had the bbq night and stuff and bla bla bla. And now here I am, sitting in front of the computer at 1.05 in the morning. Crappers.. So much for the 3 weeks holiday huh? Oh well, at least I DID have a rather good holiday after a really stressful week of examination.

But still, I'm once again having mixed feelings. Lost and confuse. Though I had fun, I've failed God several times. It's funny how we Christians must pursue God and deny the world and ourselves, unlike the world that's so empty and void in the hearts. Sometimes I forget who am I and make horrible mistakes. But by the grace of God, redemption is always there.

my forgotten

Sitting still doing nothing can really get one thinking, "What in the world am I doing?! Why am I not asleep yet!!". Questions flooded my mind, questions about of this temporary life that I have. Questions about decisions I've made in the past. Why did I and why didn't I? How could I and how did I? Some questions were profound, others were trivial. Somehow, most of the feelings I have were rather sad and dissapointing. Proves to show how I had foolishly lived my life in the past and the effort I'm making to change. Still slow on the improving part. The devil's really good at irritating me with temptations, most of them easily brushed aside by the grace of God.

But while in the atmosphere, I tried once again to remember my forgotten past. Being unable to remember almost all of my life before I was 12 years old really sux. But as the years go by, I begin to remember more and more. Some familiar faces and other alien to me. Regretted sins and memorable redemptions, things I can never forgive myself for doing and things that ever drive me on.

Places and words.. Quotes and verses..
Memories of laughter and pain.. Memories of my forgotten.

~on fire~

NFSU2 and GYbbq?

You know the feeling of getting your hands on a new game? It makes you wanna stick on the computer for hours and hours and hours and win it within a day. But I'll get to that later.

Last nights' round out till 6.30am with Aaron Wee didn't helped much. By the time I actually reached home was around 7am, and mom was already up preparing to go for work. Sleeping at such times really does things to people. I had a really weird dream. Weird because the dream was so clear, I still remember it till now. So I woke up at 2pm and immediately started doing my house chores - cleaning up the house. Jagged in Switchfoot's CD, pumped up the volume, grabbed the broom and I'm set to go all the way. By the time I was finished with mopping the whole place it was already roughly 4.30pm. I sat down, sweaty and smelly as always, reading the newspaper while sipping my morning evening coffee. Ahhh~ The aroma~

*that's Sam's face there*

After taking my bath, I went on the com and installed a lovely game that I got my hands on from my bro - Need For Speed: Underground 2. Cool stuff. Loadz of new features and cars and most of all, a whole new gameplay. Well, most of it are rip-offs from the GTA and the Burnout series. But still, it's a great game to play. My rating for it: 8.5/10. There's nothing more fulfilling than the feeling of playing like how I drive in the real life. Ahaks~

*BALOON BATTLE!!*

Initially, I didn't really felt like going for The Gateway Youth: Christmas BBQ as I had an irritating flu. But in the end, I knew I couldn't miss it no matter how sick I was. Dad was kind enough to drop me off at the party somewhere beside Kotamas. Was cheerfully greeted by the younger youths. It seems they were expecting me. Still wondering why... I went on bbq'ing my sausages, burgers and marshmallows. Easily bored with such mediocre food, naturally I started experimenting grilling different types of food together. I created the marshmallow/chocolate(CRISPS) burger with burnt buns laced with butter. Sweeeeeeeta!! Alas, though I was having loadz of fun, my flu was giving me a massive headache and the leaking tap in my nose didn't help the situation - I was forced to return home early and I couldn't stay over night there. *sob sob* Luckily, NFSU2 kept me company throughout the night. Hehe~

On Fire

They tell you where you need to go
They tell you when you need to leave
They tell you what you need to know
They tell you who you need to be

But everything inside you
Knows there's more than what you've heard
There's so much more than empty conversations
Filled with empty words

And you're on fire
When He's near you
You're on fire when He speaks
You're on fire burning at these mysteries

Give me one more time around
Give me one more chance to see
Give me everything You are
Give me one more chance to be near You

When everything inside me
Looks like everything I hate
You are the hope I have for change
You are the only chance I'll take

And I'm on fire
When You're near me
I'm on fire when You speak
I'm on fire burning at these mysteries

I'm standing on the edge of me
I'm standing at the edge of everything I've ever been
And I've been standing at the edge of me
Standing at the edge

And I'm on fire
When You're near me
I'm on fire when You speak
I'm on fire burning at these mysteries

the beautiful letdown: im back

*SP: ARRGHHH!! IT'S GONNA SNAPP!!!*

After a week's trip, I'm finally home. Yea, it's been tiring and stuff. Strange enough, in Genting, I have more than enough sleep whereas in KL, I hardly have enough sleep. Here's a short summary of what I did in the 6 days trip.

*the beautiful letdown sunrise*

On the 12 (Sunday), at 12.14pm Sim Hong, Kai Ping, Sue Ping and me headed for KL on the Malacca - Kuala Lumpur Express. Arrived at Pudu Station around 3.10pm. Samuel picked us up and brought us to the Genting Cable Car (his car couldn't carry us buffalos up to genting.. ahaks~). For some of us, it's probably not the first time. For me, it's the 6th time I'm riding this bloody cable car. SP on the other hand was rather nervous when in the cable car. I guess she has a slight fear of heights. Hmmm~ Anyway, it took us quite some time to reach Genting. In fact, Samuel and the others were already there waiting for us. They were really patient with everything, which is a great quality in LRC KL.

*Sammuel, Me and SP in some Jap Restaurant*

So I checked us in and unpacked and stuff. First action? Eat!! Had some stuff to munch on and we were all around Genting. This year, didn't play any of the theme park attractions. The only thing that seemed worthwhile going was The Motion Master and The Snow House. Since last year SP was itching to go into the Snow House. So this year, I made sure her wishes came true. Spent most of the time there enjoying the cool atmosphere and sleeping. On our the last day there, I brought SP to watch the sunrise again though it's a different location from last year's sunrise. One thing that remained the same, was the magnificence of God's creation. The sunrise was absolutely beautiful. No doubt about that! See, I am sentimental after all. Ahaks~

*decorating Samwise's tree*

Checked out on Tuesday, 3pm. Took the cable car down and a bus to Pudu Station again. From there we took the LRT to Masjid Jamek and another one to Bangsar. Here's the dumb part, we unknowingly took a 30+ minutes walk all the way to Mid Valley Megamall when we could've easily taken a 5 minutes KTM train ride there. Instead, we were burning under the scorching sun. Only human... *sigh* There, Sam greeted us once again with his ever cheerful smile. We spent the last 3 days and 2 nights, sleeping in his house and going around the city. At Sunway Pyramid, we tried our hands and skillz on the Archery Level. I feel that I'm getting better at it (can almost challenge that bloody elf!).

*DIE LEGOLAS!! DIE!!*

Besides that, I had fun shooting down terrorist with my trusty sniper rifle at the Mid Valley's Arcade. Cool game mann~ My score was almost a perfect 100% head shots! (loadz of CS helped) Anywayz, though this year, we spent less money and didn't really travel around much, SP and I had a great time there and personally, that's all that matters to me. Thank You God for all the fun You have graciously bless me. Pray too that though the fun was great, You would forgive me for any sins I've done during the trip. Amen~

*heads up!*

love me when im gone

Juz in case you guys are wondering why I haven't been blogging, I'm having my hols in Genting/KL. Hehe~ Yeap~ Been here for 4 days already. On Sunday, exactly after church, I headed straight to Melaka Sentral with SP and my other two friends. Our destination? Genting!! Whoohoo!! Had a great time there, though we didn't play any of the outdoor themepark rides. Well, we DID ride the Motion Master: Grandprix. It suxed.. Really.. The last time I rode on the Motion Master, there was really loadz of "motion" but this time, I suxed - real bad. I don't have to go into detail but if you really want proof, go a head and try the ride. Besides playing the indoor games and sleeping, I spent most of my time doing what I do best - eating. Hahahaha~ Samuel (KL friend), was kind enough to pass us his Genting Card, ergo we were able to get loadz of discounts. Yumm Yumm~

Well, that was KL. Right now, I'm in a cyber cafe somewhere in KL with the rest. Initially, we planned to stay in a Hotel Nouva but Sammy here was kind enough to let us crash at his place. What a nice guy - till I colgate him, that is. Muahahaahahaha~ One of the best thing about this year's trip is that I get to spend more time with SP. That's something I really treasure. Hope this year's trip will be as fun as last year's trip. Will update when I get back to Malacca. Later dudes~

beware of your butt...

Aaron Wee left Malacca 3 hours ago to travel to Thailand. My advice to him, "Use protection and beware of your butt." Hahahahahaha~ Call me bad and stuff, but that was funny!!

Anyway, today was rather a sloooow draggy day, and I mean real draggy. So I spent the previous night in my bro's apartment online and stuff. Only slept around 6.30am. The best part was I had to wake up at 10am to have breakfast with dad. Great... *sigh* After munching down some chicken rice balls (ate a little... didn't have much of an appetite) I spent the whole day lazing around doing absolutely nothing/zit/elek'/kosong. Talk about a fun filled day eh? Well, we did sort of went out to eat or something like that laa. So I guess I couldn't really say I spent the whole day doing absolutely nothing.

*gotta love it eh?*

After eating brunch, I went over to Wee's place to collect my cash. He owes me RM200 but he paid me RM50 first while he finds the rest of the cash. Call me a loan shark if you will. Hehe~ Anyway, juz as the car drove into the junction of Aaron's house, I spotted 2 of Wee's cousin - Nissan Skyline GTR!! Awesome dude!! Talk about rich relatives~ Hah~ The sound of the roaring engine, blinding headlights, and the smooth dashboard - think Need For Speed Underground. The best sets of wheels in the game. Well, at least to me. Ahaks~

*WOAH~!!*

for a good cause

Yesterday, I spent more than RM100 on CDs at Canaan Home!! But I'll get to that later. The original plan was juz for me to follow my dad out to MP as he wanted to do something in the office while I shopped for some clothing. Okay, so I admit, I ain't much of a guy who has a taste in fashion. All I know is what color I like and what I needed to buy. Plain and simple. But it was like, soooo hard choosing a 3 quarters pants and a cargo for myself! I mean like, for crying out loud!! It's juz pants!! Why can't I find one that suites me?! And then I hit me like a 50kg weight dropped on my head - I'm a guy. Ahah!! I knew it! After talking loads of crap with the poor, innocent sales gal, I finally found the pants I wanted and bought it. But, that wasn't enough. Since I have the Adidas voucher worth RM50 I told myself, "Hey, since I'm here, why don't I shop for a shirt too?" And I did. Bought a dark grey Adidas shirt for RM4! Well, actually it's RM54.90. You get the idea.

Anyway, after finishing all we had to do in town, dad went to King Kong Fish Shoppe while I went to Canaan Home. Had a nice talk to Un Nelson and stuff. He was complaining about a customer who claimed that the CD she (yea, it's a "she") bought couldn't be played on her CD player and wanted to change a different CD. But when Un Nelson tried that CD out on his CD player, everything was fine. Weird huh? Okay, here's the list of CDs I wanna buy:

All Things New - Steven Curtis Chapman
The Beautiful Letdown - Switchfoot
Where Do We Go From Here - Pillar
Who We Are Instead - Jars Of Clay
Once Again - Fusebox
Sea Of Faces - Kutless
Speechless - SCC
Welcome To Diverse City - TobyMac

Switchfoot was out of stock so I had to choose others and since one CD is RM39.90 I could only buy 3 the max. Steven Curtis Chapman and Pillar is a must, so I had to choose one of the 5 CDs. Tough choice indeed. Since I'm a huge fan of Jars Of Clay, I bought Who We Are Instead by joc. All together, RM104 *gasp!!!!*. I reluctantly gave Nelson the money. And a good-hearted person like me who wants to support Nelson has to pay so much for an original CD. And to think I could've download all those songs but I didn't. And as I wanted to leave, I spotted to DVDs shinning on one of the shelves. They were dcTalk DVDs!!! WOAH~!! I'm a mega huge fan of dcTalk and there they were, dcTalk's Welcome To The Freakshow and Supernatural Live DVDs sitting still. It was then that I wished I was rich *sigh*. One DVD is around RM67 and I was out of cash!! But it was dcTalk DVDs!! DCTALK!! Who doesn't like dcTalk?! What more their live concerts!! Looks like I'm gonna burn more than RM200 on CDs and DVDs after all.

Oh God, if You would provide food for the birds in the air, I pray that You wouldn't mine filling up my bank with cash. Love Ya God~ *smiles*

Dare You To Move

Welcome to the planet
Welcome to existence
Everyone's here
Everyone's here
Everybody's watching you now
Everybody waits for you now
What happens next?

I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened

Between how it is and how it should be

I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened

Maybe redemption has stories to tell
Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell
Where can you run to escape from yourself?
Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna go?
Salvation is here

I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself
Lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened
Today never happened
Today never happened before

cs... the team: sequel

Okay, so where did I left off? Oh ya, about camp. Umm... Covered the games and worship already so, I'll go on about the mystery night/campfire/etc/etc. This year, Samuel, Esther, and Grace were in charge of Mystery Night and they did a really good job too. The theme was about an investigation of a kidnapping case (think Cluedo.. yea, something like that). So there were no skits or campfire song this year. Instead, we were trudging through the darkness looking for clues and envelopes hidden all over STM: Seminary Theology Malaysia. Luckily, there were no mosquitos around. Even if there were, they couldn't possibly sink through my thick skin. Heh~ Initially our *ahem* "advisor", Grace told us that we were behind time and stuff. But the truth was, my team was number 1!! Wasn't much of a surprise, of course. Ahaks~!

Oh ya~ Since this year the Seremban people couldn't make it for camp as they had other activities, the Ipoh people joined us instead. There were 6 of them if I'm not mistaken. Among the sriking of them all was this cute lil' 13 years old girl named Serene, the others were bunch of guys. Innocent looking, soft-spoken, and a V-shaped smile (juz like in animes). She was soooo cute, that The Team had to pull a bunch of guys away from her!! Juz kidding~ Hahahaha~ But she's cute for her age. Had little chance to talk to her as I'm busy entertaining bunch of other youths. My bro on the other hand, kept in touch with her. After the camp, my bro kept flirting mailing her. She replied and stuff and yada, yada, yada. I ain't interested in knowing about this kinda stuffs. Hehe~

Last night of them camp, Aunty Agnes secretly gave the go-a-head on colgating. Juz in case you're wondering what colgating is all about, it's planting traps using toothpaste and trapping helpless youths *evil grin*. So Allan, Wee Liem, Aaron, Justin and I went around colgating people all around in their sleep. Soon we were bored, so Wee Liem and I quietly went to the gal's dorm and colgated their doorknobs. So everytime they opened the door, their hands will get real chilly and cool. Colgating works especially well in chilly wheather as it hardens very fast. Serene was the 1st victim of the colgate. Muahahahaaha~ Sorry ya? It was pure havoc in the middle of the night. Everyone was wondering who put these darn colgates on their doorknobs. I guess they will never find out. Stealth is our weapon.

The next morning was worse. As everyone gathered in the hall to pray for the speaker, there were many who were plotting a colgate fight. And so, right after Rev Kelvin left the hall, toothpastes started flying around. No one was left out, everyone got colgated, it was war... Most of us veterans easily picked off those noobs who tried to challenge our superiority in colgating. Taught them a good lesson in colgating people in broad day light. Muahahaahahahaha~ What a fun day it was indeed. It was a great experience for the new Strd 6s. I asked most of the new ones about how they feel about their first youth camp. All of them were very happy and they said they had loads of fun, which is good though I told them the main focus of them camp was seeking and getting closer to God. They nodded their head in understanding.

In camp, I was talking to David Heng, younger brother of Liz. We were talking about how the years has passed and reminisce about the old days. He kept telling me how old he felt. I totally agreed with him. Once upon a time, I was one of those Strd 6 who kept bugging Michael (our ex-youth leader) and now, other younger ones are bugging me instead. Time really flies. Made me wanted to serve God in the youth more. I feel sooooooooo old. *sigh*

I guess that's about it. I haven't got my hands on the pics yet. It seems Jason Teh are holding the pics so I'll have to get from him instead. Youth camp is always a blessed place to be in.

cs... the team: prelude

Youth camp is OVER!! There goes the 2nd week of the hols. But it was all the while worth it. As expected, the 1st game, The 100 Tofu's, ended up to be a successful food fight! Heheh~ All thanks to the genius Allan and Aaron Liu. They sparked the flame and the whole game erupted in... tofu. For less than half an hour of fun, it took us 1 hour to clean the basketball court up. Well, actually it was partially my fault, the game was supposed to be played on the field but I *kinda* forgotten about that part. Ooops~ My bad~ Somehow, my back was already killing me earlier in the camp. Thankfully, my bro, Allan, Wee Liem, Sam and Jem helped me scrape the tofu off the court. They saved what was left of my back. The funny part was that, the tofu game was only the FIRST game. I had another 5 more games to put into play. Most of the other games were wet games and I, being the Games Coordinator, got soaked after every wet game. It's sorta the tradition of our youth camp. So I expected the worst. They took a picture of me getting splashed on the floor. I'll try to post it after I get the pic from Allan.

I played the guitar in the camp along with Jason and Allan Teh. It's been a while since I played the acoustic for praise and worship. Most of the time I'll be on the X so this camp was a refresher for my acoustic skills. For some reason, I keep filling in those worship songs in the E chord with Switchfoot's Dare You To Move intro. It fits perfectly!! "Welcome to the planet..." Can't get enough of that song I tell ya. It's inspiring. Just like jars of clay. Speaking of joc, Vera's hook unto it already. She can't get enough of joc. The suckiest thing that happened in youth camp, was the on the last day - I accidentally knock my guitar on the bloody mic stand!!! "Die you bloody mic stand!!!" *crash*

It's been a while, I tell you guys out there, every worship session was awesome! There's nothing like God's presence falling on us. The feeling is unexplainable. You gotta be there to experience it, so too bad for those who weren't there. In every Gateway Youth Camp, the most anticipating event is the Holy Spirit Hour. It's a time when we totally focus the whole day on God. We meditate on His word and pray endlessly till the time comes when we worship Him and meet with Him face to face. In short - awesome.

I'll write more tomorrow okay? Gonna crash now. I'm like, sooooooooooooo tired dude. But still, His strength holds me.

dont miss me cruel world!!

This will be my last time blogging - ever. Don't miss me ya?

*CHEERING!!*

Right... Actually I won't be blogging for another 5 days. Why? Because I'm gonna be busy sticking my fingers into other matters; in other words, I'm going for Gateway Youth Camp 2004!!! It's the hype of the year!! Wanna come?? TOO LATE!! Muahahahahahaa!! Imagine all the fun you're missing!! My goodness~ Which dude wouldn't wanna come for our youth camp?

What makes our camp so great you ask? Let me tell you first, there won't be a full band, so no loud music this year. Music is juz a partial element of a good camp. Our speaker, Ps Kelvin Sim but... Our main guest, the One that makes all our camps great, the One whom we welcome in everything we do, the Star of our camp, our Lord Jesus Christ! Whoohooo!!

This goes out to two people who can't come for the camp, Vera and Rebekah. Rebekah is in Australia now with her parents and Vera, well, go read her blog. Especially Vera, wish you were here to have fun with all the other guys. After all, we're more than juz a family; we are Gatewayians. Have fun there while you still can gurl! God bless~

art in me?

Art In Me

Images on the sidewalk speak of a dream's descent
Washed away by storms to graves of cynical lament
Dirty canvases to call my own
Protest limericks carved by the old pay phone

In your picture book I'm trying hard to see
Turning endless pages of this tragedy
Sculpting every move you compose a symphony
You plead to everyone, "see the art in me"

Broken stained-glass windows, the fragments ramble on
Tales of broken souls, an eternity's been won
As critics scorn the thoughts and works of mortal man
My eyes are drawn to you in awe once again

And in your picture book I'm trying hard to see
Turning endless pages of this tragedy
Sculpting every move you compose a symphony
You plead to everyone, "see the art in me"

And in your picture book I'm trying hard to see
Turning endless pages of this tragedy
Sculpting every move you compose a symphony
You plead to everyone, "see the art in me."

winning isn't everything

Right~ Bwahahahaha!! Why would I say something like that? I'll get to that so read on. I was actually worn off from doing all my camp stuffs and bank craps. Okay, so I didn't get tired by doing those stuff. I guess it was because I didn't had enough sleep the previous night. *chuckles* I deserved it, don't I? So anyway, by time I was done with everything, it was already 5pm. Since everyone was tired, we decided to take a short nap - I didn't. I stayed up messing with the com.

.:6.20pm:.

"Drew!! You didn't sleep arr?!", mom exclaimed. "I did; I slept on the com~". Apparently, it didn't amuse her. Hahahahaa~ So the 4 of us got ready and we headed off to Melacca Club. Honestly, I'm not in my top form. I AM tired, but I have this weird thing for sweating it out especially when I'm tired. So fine, started out with tabble tennis with my bro. He won the first round, but I trashed him good the 2nd round. The 3rd round however, was one of the best games I've ever played (or atleast that's how I feel). We were smashing at each other, playing loadz screw balls too. Real cooool~ Later, trashed him 15 - 1 in badminton. For some reason, he lost all hope during the middle of the game. So the 2nd half wasn't much of a challenge. Ahaks~! Juz kidding bro~ Played with the house champion, my mom - beat her in badminton too. Juz before we left, played a quick game of table tennis again with my bro. Guess who won? It seemed that I was on a roll~ I juz keep winning and winnning! Wahaahhaha~

Went home, soaked wet shirt (and pants) feeling awfully great. Though every ounce of energy in my body has been drained, the winning feeling seemed to fill that hole. And they say winning isn't everything~ Hah~!

*WATER!! WATER!! PLEASEEEEEEEEE!!*

understanding? woah... slow down

If I thought not being able to settle my ATM card was sucky, I was wrong. Woke up early in the morning (9.40am to be exact), went to church to prepare the stuffs for the game. Made some minor changes in our plans and stuff. It's funny how blurr Jem (as in Jeremy) can be at sometimes. Actually, he's blurr all the time, but that's juz what makes him so unique~

Me : Okay, agree arr~
Jem : Yeah~
Me : So you understand or not?
Jem : I guess so... But how are we gonna do that if you change this?
Me : *sigh* That's was what we were discussing about juz now.........
Jem : Oh yea heh?! *laughs innocently*

What a cute kid. Whew~ Thinking about that lighten up my mood a lil'. Well, actually I was about yap about how my evening went. I went out with SP today and the original plan was to watch Alexander: The Great Gay Conqueror. Okay, watching movie is always a great idea, but I felt kinda uncomfortable when she told me that one of my junior and his gf will be tagging along. Don't ask me why, but I've this negative look on all my juniors that's younger than me by 1 year. Reluctantly, I said okay. So it was on. After doing all I had to do for the day, I took the car and went to fetch SP. Knowing that I'll have to do other "side-jobs" along the way, I prepared myself for anything and true enough, instead of heading straight to MP, I had to drop off baby Shaun at Wan Ping's crib. Not a problem. Went there, waited for SP to unload everything into her house. The rain didn't give an encouraging atmosphere.

Done? Good~

Head off to MP. Now here's the low-blow: SP told me that she hasn't book the tickets and we maybe can't watch the show because her friend's bf hasn't arrive yet. In fact, he's on the way back from KL. Great... Not a problem. Patience is a virtue and so patience has been granted. Waited, and waited, and waited. Some choir at the concourse filled the time for us. Finally he called and told us he's here but it was too late, the show was over. The only alternative was to go have our dinner. Went to Amigos, which to me, was the dumbest place to eat because the food here sux and the prices are worse than Sushi King. Not a problem. Dinner was fine till one point when I was talking to SP and she began acting childishly, which really put me right off. But still, I had patience. I understood her mentality pretty well and had to stoop down to her level of maturity. Luckily, I had alot of practice back in Kid's Church. Not a problem.

*thanx for helping me pass time*

The night was still young; very young in fact. So the next best thing was pool. No, not the one you swim in, it's the one where you use a long cylinder/cone shaped wood to knock some ballz into the hole. Yeah, that one. Since my mood wasn't really good, I accidentally let it all out on my junior who bragged about playing pool very well. Trashed him pretty well, though I haven't played in such a long time. Left his broken body and pride laying to waste on the floor as I mock him with my eviiil laugh, "Bwahahahahahaa~!!"

*laugh fades...*

*no words..*

Sometimes I wonder if I ever will truely understand SP. I mean, yeah sure, being sampat is fine, but where's that level of maturity for that age? Look at Sandra, she's one hellofva sampat gal, but she's much more matured. One thing's for sure, she doesn't understand me. *sigh* Thank God the bible has all the answers~

*everything will live, wherever the river goes..*

pre-hectic forseen

So, how DO you prepare for a hectic day knowing it will be hectic? I dunno, watch late night programmes and sleep very late after chatting with your friends online. That sorta nutshell. Listening to my collection of mp3s, all christian songs. Now currently listening to jars of clay's Needful Hands. Cool title~ Anyway, I'm pretty tired right now. I'm multitasking with 12 windows under my taskbar and I'm trying to write this darn blog while chatting to friends and replying/writing mails. Nutz I tell ya. Nothing much to write except that I hope I can get everything done in time. Never know if anything will screw up last minute. Sux if it happens. If you have nothing to do out there and you're reading this, please pray for the following:

- good wheather during my church's youth camp

- for me to get everything done in time

- all the events to go smoothly

- the games doesn't screw up

Thanx peeps and good nite to you too~

Sunday Holidays

After sleep darn late last night, I thought for a moment I couldn't wake up for church. I was wrong. I was dead wrong. In fact, I woke up feeling super energetic~!! First Sunday of the holidays are ALWAYS great! Ate two Char Siu Pao for breakfast, which by the way, taste great! Sang as I bathed (breaking glass panels at the same time too). Got dressed and ready for action.

Church was a bit special today. Pastor Moses was down from Penang, smiling as usual. Talked about Ruth's early life and how she got to where she was. Mostly about God's purpose and stuff. Interesting, as expected from Ps Moses. He did, after all, started Gateway Christian Fellowship. My my, how we've grown. The effects from Ps Joshua's retirement are slowly fading. Or at least I think it is. The church has been through a lot of trouble but that's all a different story.

After church, we had our camp briefing. Hopefully, this year's yc will be better. Hahaha~ Anyway, ate Char Siu Fan for lunch. De-li-cious! And haven't stop relaxing since. This is what I call holiday~

3 Doors/Books/Exams Down etc etc

Finally.. The Rock has come back!! the exams are over. Whopeedoo!! Isn't it great?! That's ofcourse, till you get the results.. Did I juz say that? Gotta need a more postive attitude. Still, the exams are over and I'm dead tired. Haven't had a decent sleep for the past 5 days but alas, those days are over. Now I'm staring at the computer screen, typing this blog. At the same time I'm checking my Friendsters and Yahoo email account. Aside from that, I'm sipping some good ol' cold coffee and reading Neverwinter Nights reference guide.

So what am I gonna do after this? I mean, it is a HOLIDAY after all. Let me tell you my action plan. There are 2 paths. The wise path and the foolish path.

~The Wise Path~
Turn off the computer and go to sleep. Rest long enough to wake up for tonight's Camp Committee Meeting. If possible, wake up earlier and think of the games to be played during Youth Camp. Go for meeting, come back and rest.

~The Foolish Path~
Stick on the com and try out the new stuff that I've juz learnt. THEN turn off the com. Switch on my sub-woofer and CD player and start jamming with jars of clay. Play some miss calls and sms SP. Watch some movies (most probably Austin Powers or Jackass) while eating Mr Potato: Original. Tire myself out enough to look like I've been studying sooooo hard this week as an excuse of going to the meeting 20 minutes late. Go lepak after the meeting and watch more tv shows with parents. Go online again till 2 to 4.00am. THEN only sleep~

Guess which one I'm gonna pick.

This Road

All heavy laden acquainted with sorrow
May Christ in our marrow, carry us home
From alabaster come blessings of laughter
A fragrance of passion and joy from the truth

Grant the unbroken tears ever flowing
From hearts of contrition only for You
May sin never hold true that love never broke through
For God's mercy holds us and we are His own

This road that we travel, may it be the straight and narrow
God give us peace and grace from You, all the day
Shelter with fire, our voices we raise still higher
God give us peace and grace from You, all the day through

2nd Down

*studying makes you melt... slowly*

After studying so much for System Analysis & Design, codenamed: SAD it was time to test my limited knowledge of that subject. I sat for my SAD exam. The fact that I can transfer my credits on this subject made it the most important subject this semester. Walking through the exam hall was rather ominous. Each step echoed through the walls of the exam hall, calling out memories of previous bloodbath exams. The voices of comrades whispering to each other, exchanging exam tips and their last words of encouragement. Caught in the atmosphere, I accidentally step on a student's foot. He looked at me with a zombie like expression. From his looks, I knew he was a veteran. I could see the scars of previous battles he fought in. Scary. I saw my seat in a distant, No. 231. I mustered my courage and picked up the pace. The seat was cold - full of scratches and holes. The sign of age.

*indian ah pek studying with style*

The students sitting in the massive hall were restless and anxious to get started. "You may begin!" the invigilator's voice thundered across the hall. The sound of scribbling pens and pencils were the only thing left that could be heard. I closed my eyes and began to pray. The angels of wisdom and knowledge surrounded me, singing their songs to me. My heart was calmly beating at a moderate pace. "Amen~" I picked up my pen and shaped my destiny. Before I knew it, I was done. Did final checks and flipped through the answers, making sure I missed nothing. Submit my papers and walked out the front door.

Paranoia came upon me. I resisted the temptation to check my answers.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

aiming high

*oh it's nothing.. i'm juz aiming for the moon*

My day started off unusually early at 8.30am. Like a blind man, I navigated with my hands to the bathroom, stumbled over some furniture along the way too and by 9.40am, I was at SP's house to pick her up. All that trouble for what you ask? Well, you wouldn't believe me if I told you - to study at the State Library. Yeap~ I could enter Ripley's Believe It Or Not: Konn Mann Edition for that sort of thing. Not that I've NEVER been there or anything like that; it's juz that I SELDOM go there to study (or to do whatever nonsense). I met my cuz, Su Pheen, studying with her friends there too. She asked me out for lunch and I agreed. And so, we started studying intensively (though intensive is already too late i guess).

After a few hours of staring at alien notes and empty papers, I decided it was time for a break. And so I went to find Su Pheen and the 4 of us, Su Pheen, her friend, SP and me, went to Sin Hoe garden to chomp down some lunch. Su Pheen and her friend had Wan Tan Mee while SP and me had Un Lai's Beef Noodles (again!!). Juz as we were about to start eating, 3 guys came and sat in our table. Juz as I was about to stand up, SP pulled my shirt and told me that they were her friends - Catholic High School crappers. Gutless losers with no sense of pride. How dare they sit in the same table as me! I ensured their deaths to be... swift and as painless as possible. Dealing with their leftovers was kinda messy. We then continued to munch down our food.

After good meal, we headed back to the library to continue to study. Well, actually it was juz only SP and me left. Su Pheen and her friend went home. And I thought she was having her STPM. Hmmmm... Studying half-way, SP complaint to me about a stomach ache she was having. Strangely enough, my stomach feels juz as weird too. I feared the worst. "*gasp!* Maybe Un Lai poisoned us!", SP returned a sharp stare at me. Understood ma'am.

I somehow managed to cover all 7 chapters required for the finals in those hours that I study. Even as I'm typing this down, I'm actually taking a break from studying at my bro's apartment. I've been practically studying the whole day~! And why do I study so hard for this subject, System Analysis and Design? To transfer my credits when I'm doing my degree ofcourse! I'm aiming for atleast a B+ because that's the requirements to transfer my credits. Talk about aiming high huh?

1st Paper Down

I guess it pays for not studying much for Computer Systems and Architecture. The name of the subject itself could scare off any noob. Especially me. Questions weren't really difficult; it's juz that I've forgotten how to answer them. Hah~! And I thought staying up all night to study would help. Well, it was really stressful, burning the midnight petroleum and stuff. It's something I rarely do. Luckily, I'm more of a night person, so staying up till sunrise didn't bothered me much. All I did was study and study and study... Oh yea~ The one-game-only Gunbound breaks helped a lot too~ *ahaks~!* The evening was rather fun I guess, played a few pranks before we started to get serious with studying. Did our usual wet tissue and "looking for crocodile hunter" prank. Crazy and fun as usual~

*if i'm asleep, how did i take the pic?*

After a couple of hours, and we're worn out; slumped over our chairs and beds, we looked at each other like a zombie. The cure - instant noodles! Ahhhh! Food of the gods~! Contrary to what SoupySnax says, having a break doesn't give you a boost in alertness. Instead, it juz gives you more time to play around. After the much needed laughter, we sank our heads back into the precious notes. Studied for a few more hours before I took my 2nd break. As I turn around and see how's everyone doing, Aaron Wee was dead on the bed. My bro was dead on the couch outside the living room. Gee~ Thanx for the encouragement dude! Kept my spirits high (and dry). Before I knew it, it was already nearly 6am and I had to persuade myself to sleep.

*"Oii~! Wrong angle larr~!" - Aaron Wee's exam*

Woke up around 12pm. 1st thing I did, watch Aaron Wee play Gunbound. Then I joined him with my bro's computer in his room. Seriously, Gunbound is such a good stress reliever. It did wonders to me. Took a bath, changed, and head off to The Evil Room of CITS LAB 1 where my fate awaits me - 1st paper down. *sigh*

THE -big- DAY

So what's up abou exam's huh? I'm now in my friend's apartment to do some last minute "study" - if it's any study in the 1st place. *ahak!* Well, it's not my fault the damn apartment has quite a good LAN connection for me to play Gunbound! *sigh* Okay, I overrate BBU's LAN connection speed. In truth, it sux - big time. But hey, I ain't complaining. At least it's better than mine. There's nothing I enjoy more than anything (besides being beside SP), is hanging out with friends. Yea.. Crazy bunch of butt-heads~! Sometimes I feel that they're a bad influence to me.. and vice versa. Right... Damn hard to study with these guys around.

*sigh*

Truth be told, I'm afraid because I'm NOT afraid. Really freaks me out. I mean, I'm not confident or anything, nor have I studied much as I wrote previously. I'm like, so dead now. All I ask for is just a pass. That's all I need. Hopefully, get a B+ for my System Analyst and Design so that I can transfer the credits when I do my degree. What a long shot. So much for the big day huh? God help me..

Friday, November 19, 2004

i got fired!!

Well, not really fired. I've stopped working. Heck~ I'm one of my dad's elite crews that he can actually depend on! He wouldn't fire me right? Or would he.... *insecurity sux* What more a better way to celebrate the day that I stopped working to concentrate on my studies than to go out on a movie date with SP. *Ah hak~*

I had 2 movies installed for us - Shutters, which is said to be a really good horror show though it's Thai; and The Incredibles, which is as expected - really incredible. It's fun watching for free but hey, I get used to it. *Hehe~* The Shutters was a great show. Honestly, I feel that it's better than Ju-On. Though it's filled with loadz of cheap sound-n-scare and the ghost looks kinda pretty (i think she uses Head and Shoulders.. hmmm...), the movie has a pretty solid story and the main character, is a jerk. The combo of a great story indeed. I especially like it when it ends with the ghost still haunting the poor dude. My perquisite for every horror movie. Hehe~

The Incredibles was seriously a great show, though I had to shut some ball-less malay punks next to me - which adds to the fun. Bwahahahahaa! I find such shows rather refreshing from all the violence, gore, sex etc etc. Believe it or not, there's not a single drop of blood in the show! Pixar Animators did a great job animating The Incredibles. Lots of unnoticeable elements - which by the way, is a good thing okay? Hmmm.. One day, maybe I could work for them... *ONE DAY*.

*juz the two of us.. we can make it if we try..*

The best thing about watching shows, is you watch it with someone like SP. She always shut me up when I make some logical comments on the show, or pick up plot holes. What can I say? It's difficult being a critic rite? But still, I had fun with her. Though we couldn't spend much time together today, I guess I'll juz have to wait till both our exams to be over. Speaking of which, mine is juz a few days away. Make that 3 days. *gasp!!* And dad says I dunno how to manage my time. Well dad~! If I didn't work at all, I bet I could've managed my time efficiently. How in the world am I gonna study after a hard day of work?! I mean, come on mann~! *singing* I'm no Superman.. Thank God SP lightened up my spirits abit. Juz the sight of her smiling is good enough for me. *dont tell her i said that okay?*

What more a better way to end the day than to eat some Beef Noodles~ Once again, it's juz dad and me. Drove all the way to Bukit Baru's Sin Hoe Garden juz to taste the luxury of Un Lai's Beef Noodles. "We are you number one fan! Ahhhhh!!!" Really good stuff I tell ya~ Imagine all that fat and fiber, sipping into your body as it goes through your intestines. Lovely ain't it?

*BEEF NOODLES! BEEF NOODLES! BEEF NOODLES!

west(sad) story continues

*WARNING: naked guy in a bad mood after work*

After talking to many people and getting as much feedback as I can from them, I have come to the conclusion - my new hairstyle SUX!! I've asked professionals and commoners alike and most of them gave the same answer. Pretty pathetic eh? Aaron Wee looked shocked as well as my other friends. They told me the same thing; it doesn't suite my character. I mean, I'm more of the hyper crazy slacker type of guy. Not the cool fashion type. It's like Tom Cruise wearing an Ah Pek singlet and shorts, sitting in a coffee shop with one leg on the chair, sipping on his kopi-O-kau. Here I am, having an Ah Beng hairstyle when I'm one of those english-speaking guy whose general knowledge surpasses ordinary 18 year old that's my age. Heck~ I even do more crazier things than my friends because they chicken out (all legal - except the fireworks). According to Khim Hai, "You should have one of those crazy guy afro hairstyle. That suites you dude! Macam orang gila!". Geee~ I feel so much better Khim Hai. *sigh* Right now, I'm juz trying to 'fix' my hair by lessening the spike at the back and combing my front hair more to the right instead of it dropping down over my forehead. Collateral damage indeed.

off topic, but here's Vera's mom and kid bro in KRR.

i feel pretty.. oh so pretty..

You know.. I’m one of those guys who wouldn’t really bother much about how I look, what I wear, or even how I smell for that matter. I’m actually comfortable with who I am - my personality. But it seems that my 'slumberness' affects a lot of people, especially SP. So after much persuasion from SP, I finally had a hair cut. Well, it’s more like a makeover if you ask me. I feel like one of those gay guys from Queer Eyes For The Straight Guy had a go with my hair. A weird but true way to put it. I don't really mind people messing with my hair. I mean after all, I did get a baldhead during my NS stint. While I was there, somehow or rather, everyone wouldn't get their haircut till they see me getting mine. The moment I heard that, I immediately got it done. The feeling of the breeze chilling your bare skinhead. Ahhh... Refreshing indeed~

*sing along now - anus anus anus*

Anyway, so SP and Rebekah brought me to some hairstylist in MP. Okay, catch this guy's name: Amus. "Wha-? I thought you said a-... Never mind." Strangely though, this guy has a weird voice, and I mean really weird voice. More like a squeaky girly-mouse voice. I wonder if he had his nutz eaten or something cause his voice really freaks me out sometimes. SP assured me that he's a professional and that he will do a good job with my hair. And so, I placed my life in a Anus Amus' hands. First few minutes felt good. My hair looked okay with out any gel on, with the front hair dropping down. I looked like some cute Japanese guy.

*moshi moshi - hello*

But... After he put some kinda weird wax (on my hair you donkey!) and I suddenly look like some Ah Beng whom had his hair bitten by a dog. Yes, my hair was bitten by a dog with no nutz *sigh*. I put on my usual optimistic and cheerful look. Made jokes about it and laugh at it with SP and Rebekah. But the moment I stepped into KRR, I had a cupcake thrown at my direction. The crew were all commenting on how I look. My bro said I look gay (which by the way, isn't really bad), my "mother" said I look weird (still not bad) and Melvin said that I look like some gangster from the streets or something (and i thought i stopped that long time ago.. hah~!). So there you had it. RM25 worth of haircut and this is what you get - mockery. Well, I can't say I blame them or anything. I admit, I look abit weird in this hairstyle. Hopefully, I'll get used to it one day. Hope is a BIG word.

*okay honestly, who threw the cupcake?*

the broken (toe) nail

*gasp~!* I haven't been blogging for 5 days! See, this is what work does to you. It eats your time like how you kids consume candy till your teeth rot and decay. Yeap~ It makes you olddddddd.... You body becomes frail and your bones, brittle. One fall and you're done for.

Okay.. So I'm exaggerating.

But for the past 4 days, I've been really pushing my bodies over the limit. It started on Wednesday. I came back form work at 7pm and went out with my friends at 9pm to blow up some bombs. The last thing we blew up was a herd of cows along the freeway. Came back at 4.30am. Woke up at 8am, picked Syikin, Rebekah and SP. Brought them to one of dad's workers house to celebrate Deepavali. Punched-in at 2pm sharp and work my butt through the buka puasa frenzy. It's really crazy how people can eat chicken. Don't they ever get bored?! Sick dudes.. *ahem* Anyway, so I left work at 9pm that night and went out to find my Indian friends to play more fireworks with them and came back at 3am. This time, we did lots of hit and runs. Wait for some poor night racer and bombs away!! BOOOOM!!!

Hahahahahahaha~ Such sense of accomplishment is a real bliss!

Speaking of accomplishments.. Though I was really tired today after coming back from work, I had a good time alone with myself. After bathing, I took out my bandage that's wrapping up my semi-broken little toe nail and I found out that it's already dead~! Which actually means I can pull the whole nail out! For good! Pretty cool stuff huh? Took deep breaths... Breathe in... Breathe out... Breath in - *hold* One... Two... Three... *pulls* Blood gushes out like the broken dam in X-Men 2. Gotta stop the bleeding!....... Oh no... It's too late! We're all gonna dieeeeee!!! (actually there's no bleeding)

*that sublime feeling...*

*see the thing on the right? guess what's that*

in need of a friendly smile

After so many hectic days, I was wondering to myself when will it end. Juz as I woke up to a blurry Sunday morning, a smile waited for me in my hand phone but somehow, I didn't see it. I thought it was a bad day; I missed church (God forgive me), injured my toe nail (again), and had my own mini-storm hovering over my head. Though the home church session with my mom helped me a lil', but the clouds were still there. I was juz waiting for things to get worse - it's a certain way to amuse myself. The first thing I had in mine was to sms SP and tell her how I felt but then, I felt that she wouldn't take it seriously. Dropped the idea.

It was 12pm. All of the sudden, the phone rang and I dutifully dragged my feet to pick it up. It was dad. "Drew~ Are you coming to MP or not? Shu Lin is here you know?" "Wha-? She's here?", I gazed at my hand phone. One new message.. Could it be.. Checked my message: Hey, I'm on the way to Malacca now. Are you free today? Wanna meet? I'll message you again when I arrive. How in the world did I missed that?! It doesn't matter already I guess.. She's in Malacca and somehow, my spirit was lifted. An old friend has came to pay me a visit. My best friend in NS - Shu Lin. Changed to some proper clothes, and went to MP.

Anticipation, anticipation. What else could I feel? After all, I haven't seen her in a while. As I waited for her in Kenny Rogers Roasters, I wondered how she would look like - long hair? larger composition? Nah~ I wouldn't wanna bother myself with such thoughts. Suddenly, a guy and a girl walked into KRR. It was Ee Jin and Shu Lin! They didn't noticed me as I sat with my back facing the entrance. They slowly walked towards the front counter and talked to my bro. Their backs facing me, brother told them to turn around. Slowly, they did. "Eh?! You're here!!" Shu Lin exclaimed. We exchanged greetings and warm smiles. Once again, it was juz the 3 of us; Ee Jin, Shu Lin, and me. For a man in need of a friendly smile, she was definitely the one to give it to me.

Okay, I admit, Mahkota Parade has become one heckofva boring place to lepak. Seriously, nothing here is attractive anymore. Too many Ah Bengs and Ah Lians, Mat Rempik and Mat Minahs. But it didn't bother us, throughout most of the time, Shu Lin and I were talking. I kinda felt bad leaving Ee Jin out of the conversation but I guess there are some things that she wanted to share with me alone. Alas, she couldn't stay long, as she and her friends had to return to Tangkak before 7pm and it was already 5pm. Ee Jin sent them to Melaka Sentral. Exchange good byes and farewells and of course, warm smiles.

6.00 p.m. Sms ringtone came to life

I want to fall in love with You
I want to fall in love with You

.:Shu Lin:.
I've reached my college. Actually, I have a lot of things to tell you. I intended to tell you that I have a bf today but I juz dunno how. I think the situation is juz like the time you with SP.

Indeed it is Shu Lin.. Indeed it is..

let me fade away...

I'm so tired and worn out with this life. Many a times I juz feel like screaming out in hopes that someone could hear me. But as much as I try, my voice can't be heard. Much like a distant echo, it rings in the walls of my room and I'm trapped in this prison I've built. As much as I try to hide away from the world, it's dark, formless hands pull me deeper into it. They hold me down, flogged me and beat me up before throwing me to the sidewalks of the harsh world where I'm spit at and pushed aside.

Though as tough and resilient as I am, how much can a man take before he realize his body is broken? I dunno.. I guess the fact that my body IS already partially broken has already made its point eh~ Most people wouldn't know what I face or what I've faced before. Heh~ Even my dear ol' parents don't know but I guess that doesn't matter too. To the world, I'm juz a guy who smiles and grin very often. But behind that smile, I'm slowly fading away...

IT BURNS!! IT BURNS!!!

ARGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

It hurts mannn! I juz kicked my bloody broken toe nail again!! Juz as I was happily chatting with Vera on msn, I accidentally kicked my lil' toe nail off - again! How dumb can I be?! @#$%#!!

But you know, the pain was kinda.. fun.. For a long moment there, I enjoyed the pain I felt. Weird huh? There was a moment of euphoria as I felt the pain surge through my body, activating every nerve in my body as I watch the blood flowing from the injury. Then, reality came back. Gross..... Hope you're not eating as you're reading this. Wouldn't want you to mess up your computer table after all~ Hahahaha~

Went to my parents' room, opened up mom's medkit, took out the iodine and the fun began. As most of you would know, iodine is the best antiseptic around (salt should be better though). And so, the more pain you feel, the better the effect. Nice touch eh? Gosh.. I couldn't stop smiling mann~ What a weird feeling indeed~

*kids.. don't try this at home*

All About Love

We've got CDs, tapes and videos, radios and TV shows
Conferences, retreats and seminars
We've got books and magazines to read on everything from A to Z
And a web to surf from anywhere we are
But I hope with all this information buzzing through our brains
That we will not let our hearts forget the most important thing is

Love love love love love...
It's all about
Love love love love love
Everything else comes down to this
Nothing any higher on the list than love
It's all about love

Now they're fighting in the Middle East
And they're fighting down on 7th street
And there are fights in my own house on given days
It's like something's lurking deep inside
That can't seem to be satisfied
But life was not meant to be lived this way
'Cause it's true for every man and woman, every boy and girl
That our only hope for living here together in this world is ...

Love love love love love ...it's all about
Love love love love love
Everything else comes down to this
Nothing any higher on the list than love
It's all about love

This is the reason we were made
To know the love of our creator
And to give the love He's given us away
Yeah, the Maker and the Father and the God of everything
He says to...

Love love love...
He says love love love
Love love love...
Cause after all it's all about love
God says...

food... *drool*

*drool before my food!*

I must admit, one of the best things about working at Kenny Rogers Roasters, is the darn good food dude~! But this is no ordinary meal that customers get to eat. You see, the meals that the crew eats are, well, "custom made" in a way. Whether it is extra bbq n black pepper gravy or cheese on chicken, we think of it and we make it, and ergo, we eat it.. Yea~ So last night, I had a really wholesome meal. Nothing beats not eating chicken. So I custom made for myself Tangy Chicken Spagheti with spring onions, baked rice with parmeson cheese, and mac and cheese sauce. For drinks, I had cappucino on ice with extra foam. What a treat after working for such long hours. Looks good doesn't it? Makes you drool on your computer table and wet yourself. Hahahaha~ Want to eat the same thing? Work at Kenny Rogers Roasters Mahkota Parade now~!

p.s. i wonder why am i promoting KRR.. hmm.. brainwash!

waitaminit.. it’s supposed to hurt rite?

*every step hurts, but life goes on eh?*

Okay, I woke up earlier yesterday right? I’ve forgotten to mention something interesting that happened to me earlier in that morning. Juz as I was coming out from the bathroom, I accidentally kicked the fiberglass door with my right foot. There was this stinging pain but as usual, I paid no attention to it. I dried myself with a towel and went to my room. All the sudden, that same stinging pain came back! When I looked at my right foot, my lil’ pinky’s toenail came off - completely! Hell it hurt like crap after I tried to pull it out, but it’s juz sooooo cool! The last time recall I ever had my nail completely out of place was when I met my 7th accident.. I think.. Can’t really remember you know. It’s like you’ve been eating all your life and you’ve forgotten what you had on this day, last year. Yea.. Something like that I guess. Anyway, back to the story. Since I was already kinda late for my “appointment”, I put some Iodine on the bleeding wound and plastered it down.

After coming out from my bath at night, I realize the thing has dried up a little bit. *grrr* Makes me wanna pull it out even more. I tell you, the pain was soooo enjoyable. Call me sadistic if you want, but if you ever had those days when you feel super tired in the morning and coffee juz won’t do, juz pull out your toenails! It’s magic I tell ya! Hhahahahahahaa~

GOD FOLLOWER

My heart is racing as I wander through this jungle
The trees above refuse to let the sunlight through
And somewhere deep inside I hear the whispered longings
That tell me I was made for more than this

A blinding flash of light falls down into the darkness
Slowly I notice strange new markings on the trail
The crimson drops are calling out to me come and follow
"I am the God who made you, let Me show you how to love"
And I cry...

I want to be a God follower
I want to go wherever He leads
I want to be a God follower
I want to walk the trail He's marked for me
And be a God follower
[More than anything]

And now I journey on with purpose and with passion
Just like a dead man who's been given breath again
And though this path can still grow dark with tears and sorrow
I know He will never leave me
So with everything I am I will say...

I want to be a God follower
I want to go wherever He leads
I want to be a God follower
I want to walk the trail He's marked for me

And when I reach God's place
I will look into His face
And then I'll look for you
Will I find you there?
Can you say with me...
I want to be a God follower
I want to be a God follower
I want to be a God follower
I want to be a God follower

wha-? it's only 7am?!!

Today is abit special I muz say. The plan was for me to wake up an hour earlier than usual, come to MMU in blistering cold of the morning, and line up for the new ID card. And so, the plan shall go ahead.. as planned. Though I slept around 1.30am (was chatting with Vera on msn for the first time!), waking up was never an issue for me. And so, I did - woke up 6am, took my bath, drank my coffee, and sped off to mmu.

I muz say, mmu in he morning is pretty calm. No noisy undergrads walking about and no loiterers too. It was juz me, the fresh breeze, and *ahem* the security guards. So I took my time walking to the Security Office, enjoying some pure virgin fresh air on the way. Saw a long line of about 60 to 70 people waiting for their IDs. Masked myself with a positive attitude and told myself to wait. After more than half an hour, the security guard informed everyone, "We will only make 50 IDs per morning, so you have to come back later in the evening."

*CRASH!*

I shouted at the guards, "WHA?! You mean I woke up at 6am for nothing?! What moronic imbecillic crap is that?!". *ahem* Or atleast I wish I did. Hehe~ And so, my 4 hours worth of sleep was wasted.

NOOOOooooooooooooooooooo!!!

and you thought working was fun

I've been asking myself lately, "Why in the world am I working?! Especially in this super busy/crappy semester?!". I try to reason with the reason of me working but then again, it juz doesn't make any sense at all. After much thought, I gave myself a few reasons:

1) For soon-to-be new X (that is, after I sell off the old one)

2) For my holiday trip to KL (last time we spent more than RM1k)

3) For something...

4) For something too...

Okay, I admit. It's stupid. Yes! I said it clearly! It IS stupid. I mean, it's not like I've never worked before or anything, so experience is totally out of the question. After all, I did started working when I was 14 years old. And to fill my time? Heck~! I need time mann! By working, I'm straining myself a lot. *sigh* Managing time is definitely not trade. I bet many of you know the feeling, wishing you had more than 24 hours in a day. I guess it's juz the "season". Can't wait till next semester.

But one thing's for sure, I gotta get that new X! Hehe~

INTO JESUS

I see the moon
A million stars are out tonight
Gentle reminders of the way You are
A sea of glass
A raging storm has come to pass
You show Your face in an array of ways

My feet may venture to the ground
But You would never let me down
I can't hold it in
My soul is screaming

Hey you, I'm into Jesus
Hey you, I'm into Jesus, oh yeah
Hey you, I'm into Jesus
Hey you, I've seen the truth
And I believe

I know You're there
I feel Your love through my despair
You speak the words that ease away the pain
My heart is free, my eyes are clear
My soul is healed
Now that You have got a hold on me

My feet may venture to the ground
But You would never let me down
I can't hold it in
My soul is screaming

Hey you, I'm into Jesus
Hey you, I'm into Jesus, oh yeah
Hey you, I'm into Jesus
Hey you, I've seen the truth
And I believe

I still believe, I still believe
Hey you, this kid is back
And I do declare that the Son is shining
Hey you, this kid is back
With a red alert cause it might be blinding
Hey you, this kid is back
And I do declare that the Son is shining
Hey you, this kid is back

My feet may venture to the ground

Hey you, I'm into Jesus
Hey you, I'm into Jesus, oh yeah
Hey you, I'm into Jesus
Hey you, I've seen the truth
And I believe

*declare it dudes!*

The Last GY Sunday

*already missing you, GY*

Well, yesterday morning was officially the last GY Sunday. After this, I dunno what's gonna happen. Lots of planning will be needed and the next Team Meeting will be one that's full of headaches. Well, since it's the last GY Sunday for us, we planned for FGA to drop by. And juz as arranged, the team from FGA KL came to our church this morning and we had a great time of praise and worship, not to mention the ever funny yet deep sermons from Ps Daniel Singh. Stepping in the hall suddenly brought a mirage of memories of the GY. Finally, I was home. I can’t believe it’s been more than 2 months since we last had a GY Sunday Service. Praise and worship was good, as expected from FGA. Made me wish that I was the one up there playing the X or the acoustic guitar.

Okay, I shall stop reminiscing and get back on track. *ahem*

After a very fulfilling worship, Ps Daniel went to the front and started sharing. His usual jokes and laughter lighten up the tense atmosphere - the side effect of not coming to GY for so long. They prayed for us and gave us some nice praise at the end of the meeting, which has always been a nice touch.

*oh, it's ONLY RM2000+.. rich kid*

Okay, so now everyone was fellowshipping and chatting about. Maybe it's juz some instinct reaction or something like that, because Allan, Jason Teh, Edward and I were drawn to check out the shining Ibanez X that was on the stand like a moth to the light. When asked how much it cost, the dude gave a smirk and told us it was RM2000+. Bah~! Rich kids~! It's an FGA thing. We took turns trying the X out. When it was my turn, the unexpected happened - I couldn't play my usual riffs! *gasp!* Am I THAT rusty?! I guess not touching my X for more than 4 months has taken its toll on me. I told myself that I would pick up my X again. Can't afford to loose touch in this kinda thing. I do pray that God would refresh my hands and fingers once again.

But juz as I held the Ibanez, I suddenly thought about the laksa I had at Orchard Road last Friday with SP and dad. Strange...
