Guess I've been away for a long while. Again. But the things happening around me seem to fluctuate violently between nothing and crazy macadamian nutz! Some jovial and joyous while others mournful and helpless.

mom's day lunch at aeon melaka's gardens.. don't go there2

mom's day dinner.. sushi inabox

And yet despite trying to live out the normal lives after those mournful and sad news, personally, I find it hard to just push it aside. The funny part is that it's not happening to me but to someone else. Perhaps I am rather empathetic by nature.. or perhaps it's true as the bible puts, when one part of the body suffers, the whole body will feel it too.

The past few weeks.. perhaps the past few months even, has been a rather draining time of my life and interestingly, it's not due to work as I'm still unemployed by the time of this writing.

Physically

Emotionally

Spiritually

Drained and weakened.

And me being me, finding the ministry of music to be as such that God will send a song that touches my heart, stirs my soul and revives me.

And that is what I truly want to share with all of you today.

Healing Is In Your Hands
Passion 2010: Awakening

No mountain, no valley
No gain or loss we know
Could keep us from Your love

No sickness, no secret
No chain is strong enough
To keep us from Your love
To keep us from Your love

How high, how wide
No matter where I am
Healing is in Your hands
How deep, how strong
Now by Your grace I stand
Healing is in Your hands

Our present, our future
Our past is in Your hands
We're covered by Your blood
We're covered by Your blood

How high, how wide
No matter where I am
Healing is in Your hands
How deep, how strong
Now by Your grace I stand
Healing is in Your hands

In all things, we know that
We are more than conquerors
You keep us by Your love

How high, how wide
No matter where I am
Healing is in Your hands
How deep, how strong
Now by Your grace I stand
Healing is in Your hands

| how He loves

Just wanna share a beautiful song with ya'll.

I first heard of it in David Crowder*Band's (apparently the '*' asterisk is part of the band name) latest album, Church Music. Its lyrics were very down to earth and connected with me, so I did a little more digging and found out that it was written by a guy named John Mark McMillan following a death of his friend, Stephen who, during a church staff meeting, prayed out loud "If it would shake the youth of a nation, I will give my life today". John was awoken in the middle of that very night by a phone call. His friend, who had mentioned those words during his church's staff meeting earlier that day, was killed in a car crash.

John Mark McMillan
How He Loves

He is jealous for me
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy
When all of a sudden
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory
And I realise just how beautiful You are
And how great Your affections are for me

And oh, how He loves us so
Oh how He loves us
How He loves us all

We are His portion and He is our prize
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking
So Heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets
When I think about, the way…

And oh, how He loves us so
Oh how He loves us
How He loves us all

Yeah, He loves us
Whoa! how He loves us
Whoa! how He loves us
Oh how He loves

Well, I thought about You the day Stephen died
And You met me between my breaking
I know that I still love You, God, despite the agony
They want to tell me You're cruel
But if Stephen could sing, he'd say it's not true, cause

Cause He loves us
Whoa! how He loves us
Whoa! how He loves us
Whoa! how He loves

Beautiful song eh? Well, here's David Crowder's version which is almost the same minus the last verse about Stephen. Youtube won't allow us Malaysians to view the video so this one's from Yahoo Music Videos. Enjoy and be blessed

p.s. mid term at 2pm.. wish me luck and remember that He loves us

| my new baby of my wife and i

The hall way was busy as ever but all I could hear is the silence that filled the air. The sound of the clock ticking boomed into my ear as I waited anxiously. I found myself pacing to and fro in front of door way, unable to sit still, unable to rest. A great flood of emotions rushed through me like a Korean soap drama with a never ending plot and unabashed love between siblings who are unaware that they're siblings. Owh, what a rush.

A nurse.. a particularly hot nurse, whom I'm pretty sure is rather poor due to the lack of covering on her body, came out into the waiting room. "Sir", she addressed me. I waited for her follow-up response. I waited again. "Uh... yea?", I finally replied. "Congratulations, you're a proud father".

Camera zoomed and focused as a gentle stream of tears flowed down my cheeks.. no, it's the other cheek; the one on my face. "Thank you", I said slightly sobbing as I handed her a wad of cash. "Go get yourself some new clothes for Christmas". Generosity was me.

I pused the swinging door open with both hands, a gust of wind (of unknown origin) blew my hair and cape (also of unknown origin) in slow-mo fashion. My wife laid on the bed, smiling from ear to ear. "I'm so proud of you", I told her with tears flowing down my cheeks, the other cheek; the one on my face. The doctor turned to me, carrying in his arms new life and new destiny. "Congratulations" he said to me as he moved his arms forward gesturing me to hold the new life in my arms.

With these guys I can connect it to my computer and update my drives, download amp models, etc and since Line 6 has a huge community, there's plentiful to download and put into my patch. But of all the patches that are available online, online one interest me, only one catches my breath.

Lincoln Brewster ftw~!

The even better part about the above video is the fact that he generously uploads the patches that he pain-stakingly took hours and days to perfect for our tonal pleasure. I download them and place em in my Pod and I jizzed~ For more info, check out his website.

| just a little crazy

The last 3 weeks was, for a lack of a better expression, nuts. Not just any nut - no, not macadamia nuts too. What does macadamia nuts have anything to do with my point? Other than the word 'nut' in it to express 'unsound', it's pretty irrelevant actually.

how many years has it been, ai?

est deer (estimate deer)

These pics are kinda long overdue so if it is a little old for your taste, I sincerely apologize. Here's a cookie. If you don't mind it then please continue reading the post. Here's another delicious, mouth-watering, macadamia virtual cookie.

For the past 3, three, tiga (not to be confused with a tiger, native to eastern and southern Asia), the CS team of Infineon (trainees dragged along included) have been working overtime (with no OT pay) for this little thing called the asset audit. As the name suggest, we audit the asset, asset audits us, vice versa. No mastercard.

It is dreadfully tiring.

*Krazathan, our scripter and dear colleague left

One of the Mondays (the one with CF's Melaka Camp), three brave souls whose names starts with the letter 'J' from CCC made our way to the sleeping town of Seremban with the intentions of a better sound in mind. Me, having a good 2 years of wonderful experience in Seremban took them to eat some Seremban beef noodles (hakka mee wasn't appetizing enough for them). Along the way we discovered a few unusual things.

Last Thursday has got to be one of the more interesting CG I've had in a while, all thanks to visitation from an old friend, darth ma-lak

don't drop it! it'll melt right through the table and floor

Watching juniors suffer eating the ma-lak has always entertain me. But as entertaining as it was, I've always held up to one my principles whereby if I wanna do it to others, I must be willing to be done. With that in mind, we seniors took a dose of the deadly ma-lak too.

tough little angel, she amazes more and more each CG

It was just as hot as I recalled, deadly hot too I might add but somehow, more bearable compared to the last time when I first ate it. I believe Syl felt the same too. Perhaps it's due to the hardening of our tongues (not scientifically possible).

Later in the weekend a whole group of CF'ers went to eat some Japanese buffet at Sibaraku. Didn't know about it though. My family and I went to Elder Wong Fook Meng's house for some simple and nice barbeque for the young working adults; Italian noodles with lots of cheese and fried bee hun, wings and lamb chops, fried potato thingies, garlic butter prawns and chilli squids.

the flames of the night

I found myself enjoying their company as they discuss highly intelligent things such as wine and women, power and politics, business and economy, faith and fraility. Joining in their conversations made me realize one thing.

I'm getting old.

And that makes little ol' me sad. T^T

Blessed Soon-To-Be Birthday W.FM~!

Owh yea~ I found an out of place sticker behind an interesting object..

That's all for this post I guess. Gotta get back to work.

| when wisdom is lent

Hi, my name is Bret. Ever had one of those days when you're stuck in the office; deadline coming, work piling up, boss breathing down your neck (in a non-sexy way. just to clarify), co-workers not showing love in the slightest form.

Well, whenever I have one of those days, somehow, no matter the circumstances, Timon and Pumbaa will show up and they never fail to give Some Good Love®.

At that moment, at my lowest self-esteem, Pumbaa encouraged me an ways I've never been encouraged before. So thanks Pumbaa. Free Hugs®~

*EDITED: just (double) realized how awesome this song is

dedicated from me to you, WAYNE~!! XDFF

Bret You've Got It Going On

Hey there Bret,
I see you're looking down.
Don't wanna see my little buddy down with a frown,
Just because I get more women than you,
Well that's only because they don't know you like I do.
Sure you weedy, and kinda shy,
But some girly out there must be needy for a weedy shy guy,
They want you as they needle when they're rolling in the hay,
So just hear me out when I say...

Bret you got it going on!
The ladies'll get to know your sexuality
When they get to know your personality.
I said Bret you got it going ooon!
Not in a gay way, just in a "hey mate
I wanted to say that your looking ok mate!"

Why can't a heterosexual guy
Tell a heterosexual guy that he thinks his booty is fly?
Not all the time obviously,
Just when he's got a problem with his self-esteem.
Don't let anyone tell you you're not humpable,
Because you're bumpable,
Well I hope this doesn't make you feel uncomfortable,
If I say you got a "boom ow ow" come on Bret help me out now.

Bret you got it going on!
(Got it going on)
That's the conclusion that I've come to,
But that doesn't mean that I wanna bum you.
Bret you got it going ooon!
(Got it going on...)
No doubt about it we'd be going crazay
If one of us was lucky enough to be born a lady.

OH, if one of us was a lady!
And I was your man, if I was your man.
Well sometimes It gets lonely and I ne-ed a woman,
And then I imagine you with some bosoms.
In fact, one time when we were touring
And I was feeling really lonely,
And we were sharing that twin room in the hotel,
I put a wig on you while you were sleeping, put a wig on you.
And I just lay there and spooned you.
Bret, you got it going on.

"So, I hope that made you feel a lil better."

"Can I please have a look at the lyrics?"

Thanks for the nice short lol dude~ XDF

| do ya like mah turkish delight?

Take a quick break before the start of..

EXAM WEEK!!

Now I know that Narnia is like sooooooo yesterday (unless they make a sequel or something) but I gotta say, disco NEVER gets old.

David Crowder*Band
Turkish Delight

Stumbled through the doorway
Into the strangest thing
An unexpected magic land
With snow beneathe my feet
Came across a lady who
Dressed herself in white
She took her coat to cover me
Then a query cold as ice

What do you want?

Turkish Delight
(It's my favorite thing) It's my favorite thing
Turkish Delight
(All I want to do) What I wouldn't do, what I wouldn't do
Turkish Delight
(It's my favorite thing) It gets me every time
Turkish Delight
(All I want to do) What I wouldn't give, what I wouldn't give
(What I wouldn't do for her?)

Wouldn't think I'd fall for it
Wouldn't think I'd lie
But I think I'd do anything
For that tiny bit of pie
I would sell you out
I'd give you all away
A life of treats might do me in
But I gotta get another taste

Turkish Delight
(It's my favorite thing) It's my favorite thing
Turkish Delight
(All I want to do) What I wouldn't do, what I wouldn't do
Turkish Delight
(It's my favorite thing) It gets me every time
Turkish Delight
(All I want to do) What I wouldn't give, what I wouldn't give
(What I wouldn't do for her?)

The more I have the more I want

Yes Timmy, the horror is over. You can open your eyes now.
God bless for the exams peeps~

| russian roulette isn't the same without a gun

Suxmyx/Screamyx/Swallowmix's been reaaaally testing the patience of the people of Malaysia (and her foreign investors) with the unbelievably slow, time-out connections. Even the usual 'good ips' aren't working meaning, it's a nationwide pandemic of bad management and corruption. (i see what you did there)

Midterms' are around the corner and unfortunately for me, I've once again failed at organizing my train of thoughts. Such moments make me weak and more often then so, think unneeded things that won't lead to anything fruitful. Fortunately...

..and what an angel she was.

Neway, last night on fly.fm PG165's Let It All Out was rolling. It be kewl to hear a friends' song on the radio. Would definitely so luuuuuurve to see VJ doing a Thai Surprise. heh~

Also it seems All-American Reject's rendition of Britney's Womanizer was on air. Pretty old stuff but entertaining nonetheless. I'm betting they ripped it off youtube or yahoo. This may sounds weird coming from me... but I've been digging Lady Gaga's acoustic version of Pokerface.

Before ya either stone me or mock me (pick one), let me first say that Lady Gaga can sing to save her life. She can do so while dancing and therefore would not get embarrassed when her BF takes the mic away from her during a live performance only for the singing to carry on without her moving her lips. So yea, my point being Lady Gaga can sing and not do all those crappy electro-dance music that seems to be spamming the airwaves more these days.

Don't believe me? Check it out yourselves~

Pokerface

And for the acoustic version.. the nicer one IMAO

Pooookerface *wink*

Now for the rest of you non-Starcraft readers who are already bored of this, here's some sensitivity stuffs. I present ya the band, Red (thanks to Felicia for introducing her fav band), and Anberlin (thanks to wayne and justyn for the hugs in klang uh... stuff).

Red
Pieces

I'm here again
A thousand miles away from you
A broken mess, just scattered pieces of who I am
I tried so hard
Thought I could do this on my own
I've lost so much along the way

      Then I'll see your face
I know I'm finally yours
I find everything I thought I lost before
You call my name
I come to you in pieces
So you can make me whole

I've come undone
But you make sense of who I am
Like puzzle pieces in your eye

      Then I'll see your face
I know I'm finally yours
I find everything I thought I lost before
You call my name
I come to you in pieces
So you can make me whole

I tried so hard! So hard!
I tried so hard!

      Then I'll see your face
I know I'm finally yours
I find everything I thought I lost before
You call my name
I come to you in pieces
So you can make me whole
So you can make me whole

Anberlin
Dismantle.Repair

One last glance from a taxi cab
Images scar my mind
For weeks've felt like years
Since your full attention was all mine
The night was young and so were we
Talked about life, God, death, and your family
Didn't want any promises,
Just my undivided honesty, and you said

Oh oh, things are gonna change now for the better
Oh oh, things are gonna change, oh, they're gonna change

I am the patron saint of lost causes
A fraction of who I once believed (change)
only a matter of time
Opinions I would try and rewrite
If life had background music playing your song
I've got to be honest, I tried to escape you
But the orchestra plays on, and they sang

Oh oh, things are gonna change now for the better
Oh oh, things are gonna change

Hands, like secrets, are the hardest thing to keep from you
Lines and phrases, like knives, your words can cut me through
Dismantle me down (repair)
You dismantle me
You dismantle me

Give me time to prove
Prove I want the rest of yours (prelude)
Call this a prelude to a lifetime of you
It's not that I hang on every word
I hang myself on what you repeat
It's not that I keep hanging on
I'm never letting go

Hands, like secrets, are the hardest thing to keep from you
Lines and phrases, like knives, your words can cut me through
Dismantle me down (repair)
You dismantle me
You dismantle me

Save me from myself
Save me from myself
Help me save me from myself
Save me from myself

Oh oh, things are gonna change now for the better
Oh oh, things are gonna change

Hands, like secrets, are the hardest thing to keep from you
Lines and phrases, like knives, your words can cut me through
Dismantle me down (repair)
You dismantle me
You dismantle me

Those are good songs. Nite peeps~

| the evil squirrel and nightmare of vain

"they're vicious and tormented inside"
~david crowder on squirrels

This is for you Wayne, in case you missed Justyne's status pic. I shall leave this up for one day only and will take it down so as to ease your tormented soul in the hands of the evil squirrels. So be at ease for this cup of suffering shall soon leave you... . . . or will it? *jenG! jeNG! JENG!!*

And finally. While doing the script for the upcoming aCt2, I surfed youtube to kill some time and Chillax® (chill and relax) and I stumbled upon the GMA Dove Awards' tribute to Steven Curtis Chapman for making history and a personal milestone upon receiving his 50th Dove Award.

the tribute song were sung by
David Crowder, Third Day, Casting Crowns, and Jeremy Camp

Within the following month his daughter, Maria Sue Chapman was killed in a tragic accident. May God continue to be his strength even now.

| the road to passion

It was a quiet thing a few months ago when people were whispering around the not-so-known-to-MMUcf'ers unenthusiastically about a lil thingy called Passion aka The 268generation. I knew them even before Phases magazine were still being published in black and white covers. Personally, I find their songs from their way back old album Passion: One Day Live to be simple and honest. Then, news came that they were coming here, to KL but as said above, most CF'ers new nuts about them and I was all hyped up and alone. QQ~

yes Lord, walking in the ways of Your laws,
we wait for You;
Your name and renown
are the desires of our hearts
~Isaiah 26:8~

As the day of the event drew near, we booked our tickets before hand and messily planned our trip. We even managed to sit through 2 day's session of apologetics by 2 great speakers whom are not unfamiliar to us from Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. I digg apologetics. On Saturday, after the morning session and some good 'brave rice', 10 of us headed up to Klang and threw our bags into Vain and J-Ash's houses; all stoned and tired.

laine looks freakeh

twins bazel! twins!

awww.. *rubs nose gently*

That night, along with Joash and Jeremy, we headed to the biggest Jusco in South East Asia as previously mentioned in early January, for the 2nd time and ate at Manhattan Fish Market for the 2nd time too. A full, bloated belly later, we headed back to Vain's crib and was joined by good ol' long time friend from MMU Cyber, Aaron. For some unexplainable reason in this PG friendly blog, we all started doing complex math calculations in our brains and random weird poses of Superman, Batman, Spiderman and Wonderwoman.

its hugeeeee (with flaming prawns)

juju as batman and aaron as spidahman

lust'ious as wonderwoman

On Sunday morning, the bunch of us payed J-ash's church a visit. Met his parents and his brother too. They all look alike.. way too alike. Went to Sunway Pyramid after church to pick up my entrance band for the night's conference. Then we were busy looking for a place to sooth our unending hunger for Some Good Food®. Big names came up like TGIF and Wendys but then, a soft voice whispered to us from a distance.. it's name, was Carl's Junior. Hell yeah!

joash and his bro

wait.. what?

i know, i proved it to her.. heh~

nom nom nom nom

chilly cheese fries ftw!!

At 3.30pm we arrive outside the entrance to the convention center and there was already this big crowd of people waiting. Then at 4.45pm they allowed us to go up the escalator to the entrance of the hall. A small group of us were near the front of the middle entrance which would lead straight to the best seats of the hall.

3.30pm - waiting

4.45pm - still waiting

By 6.15pm the opened the doors and a strong 5000+- people rushed in. Esther-dear and her friends, Ai Ai and her brothers, Becca and myself managed to almost completely secure an entire row tat was 4 to 5 rows from the front of the main stage for the few lucky CF'ers. Passion Kuala Lumpur

The night ended with an awesomely fresh atmosphere that our Lord is the God of this city and that there are greater things yet to come. I'm glad that most of the CF'ers especially my batch people came and yet I wished a few people whom I have in my heart came too. I believe the songs and the message and most importantly, the Holy Spirit will truly touch your hearts.

Thanks Passion. Once again you guys gave me the opportunity to have the Holy Spirit reignit the flame that I had 10 years ago. What you guys are doing; it's all more than just a song. May the young people of Malaysia catch that flame of the 268 Generation.

p.s. i can't believe that Louie, Chris and Charlie all look so old already

What followed was a great combination of spaz, bak kut tehs, drinks, sandwiches, donuts and young girl.
